That is kind of true. From 1946 to 1949, the Cleveland Browns were not undisputed champions of professional football. Because there were two leagues, and they did not play each other.

Fun fact: The AAFC challenged the NFL to a playoff game 4 seasons in a row! The AAFC Champions vs the NFL Champions. The Browns vs the Bears 1946, the Browns vs the Cardinals 1947, the Browns vs the Eagles 1948, and the Browns vs the Eagles 1949. All 4 seasons the NFL declined. They knew that the Browns were a powerhouse!

Shame that the pre super bowl Era isn't as heavily praised in accolades. Especially for Cleveland's dynasty. Even as a Steelers fan, I acknowledge how Otto Graham & Co. were so dominant it didn't matter which league they were playing in

Saw that there was a loss on the Pre-Card to Baltimore. But if they aren't gonna hold 72 Miami going 3-3 in the Pre against the Dolphins. Then No reason for me to hold a 1-1 Pre tally against Cleveland.
