As I have a Puma I am biased, but it's a great bit of kit. Ford have got a nerve calling it an SUV really. The Puma is only 3cm higher off the ground than the Fiesta, with only a 6cm higher roofline, but is longer and wider with a massive boot. It keeps the Fiesta's agility but with more space and practicality, hence the reason the Fiesta was dropped. The Peugeot is much bigger overall but the Puma is a much better drivers car. No need to worry about wet belts in the Puma either as they are all chain driven.

@@fuzzy-daddy83 Puma’s interior is 10 to 15 years behind.., it has a stiff suspention making it agile, but less confortable. Might be a better car for you, but certainly not common sense. I think the Peugeot is a better overall car.

The battle of wet belt😅😅 Pure crap vs Ecoboom

Neither have a wet belt now.

I'm not sure there are many B-segment cars, crossovers or otherwise, that have a rear arm rest.

I agree, tough choice. Somehow I lean more to Puma 😁

Is the Puma the shorter car? cause the 2008 bumper is like 15 cm longer than Puma bumper.

for those of us in the US... that's USD$19,000. :) So sad that Peugeot doesn't sell cars here in the US... I have always loved French cars!
@williamegler8771Ай бұрын
They sold cars in the US for decades but apparently most Americans didn't care for French cars which explains why Renault Peugeot and Citroën aren't sold there anymore.

I’d choose the Ford Puma over the Peugeot 2008 for its sharper handling, more dynamic driving experience, and interior design, which I prefer for its simplicity and less glossy finish.

The 1.2 puretech has the same issue, it runs a wet belt as well. Just google for the issues with the first models. Both manufacturers have dropped the wet belt in favour of chains as of 2021 models

Petrol engines have a disastrous wet cambelt engine on both cars. Stay clear motorists. Do your research or speak to honest mechanic. You have been warned. Regards
@bobfakkel6914Ай бұрын
Actually the wet cambelt on the Ford is gone since 2019, it's replaced with a chain. The oil pump however is driven by a wet belt.

Buy neither. Both are equally poor, stupid Crossovers, honestly! Go buy a used Fiesta, Fabia, Ibiza, and save on the cost
