Emirates is one of the best in the world along with Singapore Airlines. Folks need to focus on the experience of travel and not worry about a bit of discomfort - just get up every now and again and move around. When I was young travelling to Aus / HK / Japan etc from London for business was a great experience - even if it was 3 changes and the middle economy seat at the back of a 747 where the smoke was so thick you couldn't see the front! In those days you could leave the windows open and see the views too. As I got older I was able to travel in business and even occasionally first - extremely nice (when someone else is paying) but you lost the fun in travel and became a travel-class snob.. So try to enjoy the experience of travel and not worry about the seat!

I totally agree Paul! The flight is a small part of travel- but I will say the journey can be as fun as the destination!

​@@VoyagerGuruactually, the first time i wrote Emirates was in their A380 business class. But I only took business class once in my life. I recommend you try it. IT IS WORTH IT! there's even a bar! And the crew allow you to go to first class 😅

I took a 12 hr Emirates flight to Dubai just last week and it was the most comfortable flight I have ever taken. from take off to landing it was just awesome. my return flight on Air France... that was a different story...

We love emirates, economy or business, the experience is really comfortable as you said, and consistent for the most part. Business on AF is nice, the food is amazing, but economy is basically a US airline...

@black_widow8432 Emirates has a decent amount of transfer partners, so you can transfer usually 1:1 from Amex, Chase , Citi, Capital one, etc (if you have them), also emirates has some credit card options that can get you enough points usually for a one-way upgrade, depending on the leg 😉

We got super lucky and had a free middle seat! We always book the preferred seats in the forward cabin because you are less likely to have people next to you since you have to pay for a middle seat aka no one wants that. Look for the seats next to the stair case for the most private feel!

Oh gosh I don’t remember the exact number but it was the 3rd row in the preferred section next to the stairs - it cost about 40 dollars for the seat extra and it was worth it!

I'm not keen on the A380 economy seats, prefer the B777. For business class it's A380 over B777.

Yea I agree on the business seats for 380 are better since they all have aisle access. The 777 really should be retired with the window seats and three in the middle 😬. Boarding economy on the 380 is a real nightmare!
