I can actually agree on demoman about the arcs. They may be stupid at being funny which is very annoying imo, but they still create both tension and drama between some parts like an anime does. Plus you can feel emotions edibly while reacting to some pretty dark moments in the videos, it's actually very impressive. Btw i also agree on demoman about SMG4, he milks memes for attention (or comedy and some other bs) and he just can't stop for a second and think about other funny stuff instead of just memes. Honestly in my professional opinion he's a clout chaser, which is stupid.

I honestly can agree that SMG4 focuses too much on Meggy, Saiko or Melony, Swag & Chris Luigi, Bob & Steve were hilarious, especially Mario. I'm not mad, it's just gotten stale lately. Plus people are still crying about Axol's death, like just get over it already, accept the fact that he sacrificed his life to save his friends and be happy that the gang are still back together again. Also what about fishy boopkins, nobody even talks about him anymore.

@@classifiedmann3074 It was kinda a mix of both SMG4 wanted to take his videos into a full career and started doing more serious stuff and with that, he kinda walked away from what make his videos "special" but not making them bad But then, he ended up realizing too late that now he had to play by KZbin's rules or kick all his years of work into the trash. He can still make somewhat fun random videos, but when it comes to serious or other projects beside Mario (or his "Arcs" to be specific) it's just not the same And if we are real, if you want to make a living out of creating stories and such, and not having to worry about limitations by rules or algorithms, the best option it's to either open a Patreon or go to other sites like Newgrounds

I didn't hear of SMG4 until "The Mario Carnival" popped up in my recommendations and watched up to that SMG origin story thing. Was losing interest when they gave Meggy another depression show before she left on vacation. The filler after that wasn't that funny and made me hate Axol for being a SIMP for a Fruit turned Vegetable(I do find her funny that she's a mary sue that sleeps a lot). And when it got to SMG4's origin story I was like "who cares" since he's is SMG4 who creates this stuff, instead of some other arc involving the other character who have basically been doubled since the SMG3 youtube arc.

As someone who has Meggy as their favorite character of all time, I completely understand why people dislike her and even agree on some points ( Looking back, the Desti stuff was a lot more strange and poorly handled than the shock factor made us believe). Won’t stop me from still loving her and the entirety of SMG4. Even if it is not a very good show.

Meggy became a complete garbage character. Now before you judge me, let me explain why. She used to be a little stupid sometimes and more wreckless. She also made mistakes resulting to new episodes of her own with also mario while trying to fix it. She was relatable. A real teenager who lives her life as if its her last one. Even tho shes strong she had her weaknesses. Now she is completely immune to any form of danger. She is this basic, bland lame character who is just to perfect. She is amazing at fighting, always has the solution to every problem, never makes a mistake, is extremely ridiculously strong and always defeats her opponents with ez while the rest struggles. And that is the problem. Having a character that is completely perfect in almost everything is boring. She always makes the right changes to the episodes where she just beats up anything at all times and they completely changed her. Remember the challange video? She knew she can't touch water but because of her risky side she did it anyway. Thats why she was fun to watch. Now she is just always serious and boring. Never does anything except solve the problem. It's boring and ruins a character. Taking a serious step can be done, but we litterly have saiko so why bother making an other one.

I like the newer stuff more then the old stuff (I’ve watched since 2013) if you have the opposite opinion or like both. Once again that’s fine. Eh smg4 isn't even remotly good anymore , if i had to choose a best character of the smg4 it would be like smg3 he was funny since the new dipsh!t characters were added (since meggy roughly) the show became more serious and has characters arc when it has no grounds to , i saw mario lose his head , get shot , get drowned , electrocuted , crushed and be hurt in a million ways and i am supposed to feel scarred for him ? Bonus points for annoying waifus and random character dying after being introduced 3 episodes earlier , the fact you see more of a brain dead melon than BOWSER is telling a lot It just got corporate , ffs he gets money from the australian government , i don't blame him though someday you gotta put the bread on the table and that's how he does it , but it doesn't change the fact that smg4 is an empty shell of the show it once was
