I'm guessing you can't get them because they're harder to grow now thanks to droughts and fertilizer shortages, and no one wants them aside from challenges. It's pointless to grow peppers that can't make it into a regular hot sauce, like for hot wings or grocery stores.

Funny enough Carolina Reapers aren't even the hottest food. They are 1.5 million on the Scoville scale. There's a candy that I like called the Devil's Toe. It is 9 million on the Scoville scale. Is tasty.

Well, No kidding. Carolina reaper is really spicy. I've seen many videos of people trying carolina reaper. My goodness, I can imagine how they suffered. Just look how mercs ended up after trying it. Spoiler Alert! Don't continue reading, if you haven't seen the video yet! Although engineer barelly felt anything, the others didn't end up very well. Scout and Heavy were in excruciating agony from this. Soldier threw up into freezer, when he tried to cool himself down. Demoman got a massive and explosive diarrhea, and his intestines have to be completely destroyed by it. Fact time: Do you know, you can actually OD yourself on capsaicin? Although there aren't many cases. It happened. The death due to capsaicine overdose is slow and painfull, and you die because of organism overheating. Also overdosing on capsaicin on purpose is next to impossible. The excruciating pain would stop you from doing this, but it can happen accidentally. For example: overdoing it with spicy food.

Would be cute if they even exist. You can't even grow them, since both their creators didn't give official seeds. What you get from eBay is other seeds marketed like that, such as Chocolate Bhutlah and Bhut Jolokia. At least a Reaper seed and a Reaper plant are real, and have been sold for a while now.
