To me this video is DETAILS THAT MAKE THE DIFFERENCE! love this kiva!! Would love to see a video on styling and making functional different styles of entryways. My front door opens onto a traditional foyer (that is frankly too large relative ton square footage of the appartment but not big enough to do anything with), whereas I have friends that it opens directly into the living room! None of us know what to do with the space!

I have that task light and it’s amazing. Price was great but it gives off an expensive vibe. Assembly was seriously 1 minute and it give off great lighting.

Thrift and antique stores....even if you pay to have it refinished!!! Dovetail drawers ..if it has veneer it's usually only on mahogany. And thick enough to refinish...all styles are possible . Godspeed Dee

A veneer is real wood. Are you maybe meaning “Laminate”? Veneer has been used as a finished face on furniture for eons, and lasts very well. I have furniture from decades ago with veneered finishes that looks as well today as it did when it was first made. It’s also made with solid timber under the veneer, so they’re not mutually exclusive.

@@rosey_ie I’m seeing a lot of pieces that say veneer and customers are posting pics of what looks like pressed wood, covered in a thin layer of what looks like contact paper. Usually, they are posting things bc the fiber board isn’t holding up.

@@stephaniearble7023 Veneer is a thin layer of real wood that is adhered to whatever the underlayer happens to be (and the under layer can be solid wood, laminated wood, fibre board, whatever.) But contact paper on fibre board is a cheap finish called a laminate (not to be confused with laminated wood.)

I just ordered 2 of the narrower picture lights for my living room. They will go on either side of the opening between my living and dining rooms. My only thing is that the 2 art pieces are at different heights because they are different sizes. Should I move the larger one down so they are even? I can't move the other up because of a vent.

I’ve watched your channel before, and I’m kind of in a dilemma at the moment. I bought some curtain rods with light filtering curtains, while living with a lot of animals. Including four cats. The light filtering curtains were already a little too sheer for the room as it is the guest bedroom that faces the street, and then one of my cats decided it needed a few more holes vis a vi her claws. While I could just buy new curtains, I could also use some fabric i have. But I’m not sure how to pick a color for the curtains, nor am I certain which side I want to face the street. I’m not really interested in room darkening, but just enough privacy. I actually prefer a lot more light in a lot of the rooms as it’s pretty dark inside and also because the natural light helps me a lot with my medical conditions. Is there any sort of how to pick curtains, and what mistakes to avoid, and deciding room palettes? I already sew a lot so I can probably handle the sewing and cutting itself, I’m just unsure where to start, the exact vision down to every detail and how I would want to go about this (I kind of need to know the complete vision before I can think and plan it out).
