In my opinion this is how turn based combat music should be. A slow methodical piece for thinking but keeps you on edge about making mistakes. The Shadow fight was intensely atmospheric because of that.

@@ninjificus This is very true. Nobuo Uematsu is one of the very few gaming soundtrack GOAT composers. He consistently made amazing scores. That's why I brought up FF7. Borislav Slavov is on the way to becoming this era's GOAT for me. Crysis 2 and 3, Ryse: Son of Rome, Divinity Original Sin 2, and now BG3. All amazing soundtracks. But BG3's is just sooooo great that ALL the tracks are incredible. That's rare. He's got John Williams-level of greatness.

Indeed! Though I found that a lot of the soundtrack is very war-like, and I was surprised at what point did Slavov kept the same spirit! This is probably the best soundtrack I've heard in a game!

I swore I thought i would not like Act 2, mainly because I didn't like the aesthetics and dark theme of these kind of map, but holy shit I was wrong, everything in this game is top notch. It's extremely rewarding when the battle turns to your side, or when you kill a strong enemy, and the track moves to 2:56
