Thanks for the great recommendations.I’m fairly new to audio books but really enjoyed Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey (superbly narrated by himself with a charming southern drawl) and am currently loving The Dutch House (Tom Hanks narration).

This was brilliant, especially since I found almost all of them on Scribd. I'm definitely going to listen to All Creatures Great and Small and The Lamplighters, but I'm also curious about Walking With Ghosts and Classic Dog Stories (I've got three dogs, one is currently sleeping on my leg).

on the memior front, I suggest "Sing Backwards and Weep" written and narrated by Mark Langegan from the Screaming Trees, Queens Of The Stone Age, and Gutter Twins. You don't have to be a fan of his music to enjoy the harrowing story of his life. I listened through it twice back to back because I just wanted more.

I have recommendations!! Just finished Rosemary's Baby as narrated by Mia Farrow. I would most recommend it to those who haven't seen the movie, or people who really love the movie, because it barely diverged at all (I really love the movie, so I thought that was pretty cool, and it's such a horribly upsetting story). Beloved was amazing to hear in Toni Morrison's voice. I really loved the audiobook my library had for And Then There Were None. It was the kind of book where, when my sister asked "was it a single narrator or did it have a full cast?" I said "full cast, for sure" but was wrong, the narrator just did such a good job of differentiating the voices. I listened to I'm Thinking of Ending Things as an audiobook, and I actually think the narrator's performance was so convincing that I overlooked some clues I might have caught if I had just been reading it, which made everything even more spooky and cool to catch on my re-read later.

I just wish there were some place to find people to talk to about the books I read. Funny how the more connected the world becomes, the less it seems like people can talk about things.

The entire All Creatures series is in my top 5 of all time!! I absolutely loved every single one of them. My daughter is reading the paperback books now and it's so fun to chat about the stories. I often hear rave reviews about different authors, but find they just don't compare to someone like James Herriot.

An audiobook I loved recently (i'm a bit late to it!) was becoming by Michelle Obama! I loved that she narrated it herself! She has a brilliant soothing voice, and it was just a joy to spend so much time listening to her.
