Selaginella (spike moss) Varieties - Selaginella Kraussiana, Selaginella Uncinata, Selaginella Erythropus 2. Pellionia Repens (watermelon begonia or rainbow vine) 3. Fittonia (nerve plant) 4. I love terrariums i have a few ive made, entire ecosystems i should say. I got into it by way of side work building permaculture and naturalistic gardens. Here lately ive started becoming more of a fan of what id call " specimen terrariums" i like to set them up in the kusamono style with the intention to showcase 1 particular plant in a habitat. The focus has become for me less of a focus on overall terrarium and more the focus of creating perfection in a single specimen and showcasing it

I propagated my peperomia prostrata from one sad, tiny string that had survived in a dying closed terrarium I was breaking up. Since I didnt have much hope for it, I experimented trying to have it grow into semi hydro. My lil greenhouse has a humidity of 85-95%, so it was always moist enough. By now, the tiny string has outgrown its tiny pot. Its right under the growlight, so the leaves are light green and the pattern on the leaves is a light red-brown, wich I find very interesting. Its thriving and soon ready to move outta the greenhouse, making space for other experiments. Time for another try on some selaginella. I love selaginella, but it doesnt love me back 😅

Idk if it is to much to ask, but where do you do the cuttings, i did a little cut in my fittonias and they died. IDK what I did wrong :(

At the internode and make a slanted cut. Sterilise your scissors before take the cutting.

I have a 50 gal fish tank that i wanna make i to a close terrarium i also want to have a river with a water fall with fish in the river and mabey frogs some time in the future but i want it to be closed of (except for maintenance) how would i go about this? Plants, fish, pump, lighting, heater? Etc etc i just bought the tank today and will be slowly prepping i plan on starting it in mabey a month or so to buy all the other things first.

Some plants are not easily available in Germany. I have to order often online but they are either not available or looks quite different than to original tropical weather
