Man, I just watched a guy do this and he ripped the entire centre console out as well as the seats to do this. Thanks man!

Nice video. It's a good idea while the panel is off to clean the air filter screen. It's the round thing on the left side that you can see at about the 1:01 mark of the video. If the filter is clogged, the blower motor may work too hard and overheat, which can cause this resistor to fail.

I have a 08 Pilot and it actually uses a different rectangle resistor that was was $25. It did work the same however the replacement I was able to find was larger and I had to file the opening to get it to fit.

does the blower also work with a 2011 honda pilot?
@johngiacoppo12962 жыл бұрын
Great detailed video! Thanks! Also in my particular case the problem was just the rear blower screen being clogged with dust. I just vacuumed it and it now works great!

Thanks for the info. Fixed my 2003 Pilot and saved me from going to the dealer
@harveyh36965 жыл бұрын
No offense, but did you clean the fan grill of all that built up dust? My screen looked just like yours! There are other videos on this matter, but yours is great in that you well lit your video on the removal or the faulty part. It would've lessened my 'figuring' how to get the part out when I did.

@anarecakau38784 жыл бұрын
Do you have any. Idea how to fix or replace the a/c louvers? Both the front and rear louvers are broken and air blows different directions

If the rear blower motor it not turning on then it's most likely the same problem that was addressed in the video. I would recommend replacing the blower motor resistor first as the part is relatively cheap. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks for the video I'm able to change the part successfully but now it just keep blowing the cold air and I'm not able to use control button.please let me know what I can do.Thanks
@automahntic4 жыл бұрын
Glad this video helped! If you're not able to use the climate control buttons, the problem might be the climate control itself which you could get for cheap on eBay. Hope this helps, and thanks for you comment!

Does this have anything to do with lukewarm to no heat also? Fan works.
@automahntic5 жыл бұрын
While the engine is in operating temperature if the air coming out is not hot but lukewarm then most likely the problem might be a clogged heater core which is the element that uses the hot engine coolant as a mini radiator that therefore brings heated air in the car. As long as the fan is working fine then it most likely is not a problem with the resistor. -Thank you for your comment!

Can I try to clean the fan first to see if that's all it is.
@automahntic3 жыл бұрын
It doesn't hurt to clean the fan however unless there is a bunch of junk in the fan area for some reason, there shouldn't be any reason why the fan would not spin besides a bad resistor and/or other electrical issue. Replacing the resistor is an inexpensive and quick fix, so it couldn't hurt. Hope it works out for you! -Thanks for your comment!
@dorkyrouge33723 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video...BUT you need to clean your round filter fan first before installing the new resistor....Thats the REASON why the REAR FAN dont work is because of CLOGGED FILTER.....Your new RESISTOR WILL BLOW UP AGAIN....But your video helps...thankx
