Something I found out recently (after years of playing this game daily; it’s the only game I play) is that you can actually hogtie Black Belle after her mission. You have to immediately start tracking her horse after you get control back of your character. If you wait too long, the trail of her horse will disappear, at which point the character disappears from the game. Once you’ve caught up to her, attempt to lasso her horse. This will cause it to buck her off. While (iirc) you can’t throw your lasso at her, you can bump into her and then tackle/hogtie her. She even has noises (and maybe a couple words, iirc) created for being hogtied, which is interesting. Just figured I’d share, as I haven’t seen this mentioned or shown much before.

Another cool fact about Uncle is that they kept one line from the original voice actor in honor of him. Once he died they voiced over all of his lines except for one. It’s one of the earlier odriscoll missions but I can’t remember which one exactly

My personal lore on John's classic hat being in Black Belle's cabin is just that he likes it and picks it up sometime between 1899 and 1907. Black Belle seemingly abandons the cabin in her mission anyways. The actual reason it is there is likely because that cabin was confirmed the very first thing they physically designed for RDR2, which would've been in 2012 sometime, only two years after RD1 was out. The hat is just a little nod, funny they left it in

The Pinkertons are bad people, Milton tries to kill jack in chapter 5 and supports genocide along with a lot more things, the gang did some bad things but most of them were good people tbh and most civilians probably prefer the gang to the Pinkertons as they rob from Cornwall who killed a whole lot of innocent people and Milton who is a Pinkerton and they were built of disrupting working strikes irl, great video though 👍
