Ratman and the animal people glitches in RDR1 will always hold a special place for me because they were the first “creepypastas” I saw on KZbin. Before data mining was the go to way in finding myths and mysteries in games, I miss genuinely believing in creepy “only on a select few disc/ you must do these things in order to get this encounter” in games. Man, gaming creepypastas were awesome!

How about we not rush gta 6? Just look at cyberpunk 2077 at release. The investors were losing interest so they needed to speed it up and that led it to a buggy mess. We don’t want rockstar to release that. With the public opinion and the investors loosing interest, then it’s gonna get sped up and be released unfinished. people don't understand that if we want modern games to look 100x better than their predecessors then they're obviously gonna take 100x longer to create, I have recently replayed GTA 4, great game but Hove Beach is basically like the same sand texture square repeated over and over, looks terrible, people will be expecting every grain to be rendered in GTA 6 and that takes time, I'm assuming.

There's been a lot difference between CD projekt red and Rockstar. Rockstar is a big company, running a lot of studios. CD projekt red doesn't have a lot of studios and employees like Rockstar. Making GTA 6 with all the studios focusing on the game only rather than keep updating GTA online (milking), they can finish it around 3-4 years only. Cyberpunk failed because audiences rushing the devs to release it, but the game isn't finished yet bcs they dont have the same resources as rockstar. Thats the difference

I remember the one Mt. Chilliad mystery where people thought a secret path was hidden underneath the mountain. There's a tunnel next to the sawmill in Paleto Bay and on the minimap there's a road which not just leads you to nowhere but also doesn't even exist. The path you're going is just through grass. People speculated that this path was the answer to the jetpack mystery and 5 years later, the Doomsday Heist happened.

Midnight Club cancelled soz is a running gag on how Rockstar was about to make another Midnight Club but it was cancelled the same time that KZbinr cancelled his let's play because Midnight Club LA's mission strands were all over the place. I also like how Midnight Club is nonexistent towards the "OMG HARDCORE ROCKSTAR FANBASE!!!111" and their excuse for not wanting to touch the game is because they're not into driving when GTA is a game primarily about driving. lol

I feel like you're kinda mad and upset about something that was simply a logical conclusion, a normal business decision to focus on giving us RDR1 - one of the greatest third-person shooters ever made with a story that has become a classic over time. GTA -used to be- primarily about driving. That's like saying the "Just Cause" games are driving games because they feature drivable cars and missions involving driving. The story also makes us fly aircraft - GTA's still not a flying or driving game series!

The reason why Max Payne's Panama music and GTA V's pause menu music sound so similar is because the band "Health" who created the neo-noir soundtrack for Max Payne 3 also had a hand in GTA V's dynamic soundtracks. Also a little fun fact, some of the band's music was in Cyberpunk 2077 and it's anime.

51:37 The face on the mountain is that of one of the developers, it was put on the mountain by said developer without permission from the higher ups (every easter egg required approval) so it slipped through the cracks and made it to retail. Was told as much by one of the engine developers who came to talk to us during a guest lecture at Leeds Beckett University in 2018 - arranged by one our lecturers who was previously an artist at Rockstar Leeds I think it changed to a cock in the newer versions of the game because the guy no longer worked at Rockstar

as someone who is playing gta 4 for the second time now i can see the correlation between purgatory and the gta 4 lore but i feel like it was done on purpose as some typo inspiration and link to what nikos life feels like. on one end theres promises of a better life for him and on the other is the crime and the debt he and roman have gotten into. for example i feel like while your in purgatory your sins are remembered which you can see niko often reflecting on referencing his old days in the serbian army all in all i cant see the story being "just purgatory" but i can see the link between the two and how kinda tuff that does look as an inspiration for a crime game

Some clarification, Michael's DLC was the Zombie apocalypse one. The recent leaks revealed this and also revealed that in that DLC, Tracey and Jimmy served as the other playable characters. Franklin had Assassination missions, which the leak reveals was repurposed into Agent Trevor before all the dlc was cancelled.

And it was in those sorts of scripts that lied leftover SP DLC scripting, which revealed that detail. Franklin was swapped to be Jimmy in it, and Tracey replaced Trevor. The thread I mentioned has people posting snippets from these scripts, including the missions the DLCs would have had, the starting locations for missions, and a lot of other info. It's really interesting stuff.

Great video man! I always love some Rockstar iceberg but one thing is mistaken. Mr Nasty isn't the dude in the hockey mask, on the physical copy of the game looks like a tape and it's called "Valiant Video Enterprises" and on the manual Mr Nasty appears As a silhouette, the dude in the cover it's just a random skinz (the hoods are a different gang or I might confuse mb if I'm mistaken there) but no one has a clue about Mr Nasty appearance. And about Strange Man (the RDR 1) you missed something interesting that was talked about, Some people theorized he was either a god or a devil and in the final encounter john fires 4 shots and 3 are successful but the fourth one jammed the gun, ppl said that represents the end of the game predicting the people that dies because of something related to their sins idr that part but those being uncle, abigail and john and the jammed shot is supposed de be jack marston being the one who will be free or something

I don't know if anyone remembers this but there was some kind of gta online glitch trap that Rockstar did. I don't remember the exact details but basically R* purposefully incorporated a money glitch involving a specific property in gta online and let that cook for a few day and then banned anyone who bought that property/interacted with the glitch. If anyone else remembers that please comment if you have more details on it, because it was a long time ago and I don't remember everything.

43:52 The Donkey Lady is a reference to a famous glitch that would occur in early versions of Red Dead Redemption. A donkey would randomly spawn with the body of a female NPC but the face and behavior of a regular donkey. You could even ride the donkey woman and it looked ridiculous. I can assure you they aren't just taking longer to make games to meet some kind of quality standard, they're 100% doing it because it's more profitable to milk one game than it is to release a bunch that MIGHT do well. Rockstar back in the day was the kind of company to release a game, look at all the negative press it got by outraged puritans then double down hard on what the news specifically talked about hating. Nowadays they remove jokes because pearl clutchers would be offended about it, that's not the sign of a company that develops games, that's a company that plays it safe.
