I just finished The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and it not only has those low plot, high vibes feels but a lot of it takes place during fall and Halloween specifically. Lots of hot ciders and scarves and bonfire scenes. Its definitely incredibly slow, with nothing really happening until the last 100ish pages, but it is so fall and so vibes.

Starless Sea is such a great book, I would also recommend Ten Thousand Doors of January if Starless Sea was a hit, both give similar vibes imo!

Yes! I agree with that.

The Others series is my favorite. I re read every winter, along with the couple of spin offs. I adored The Goblin Emperor. You have some true gems on this list that everyone else doesnt list. ❤

I first heard of Legends & Lattes from a KZbin reactor earlier this year. After her recommendation, I purchased and read the book for myself. Not only did I love it all the way through but I immediately went about preordering the sequel/prequel book Bookshops & Bonedust back in February (and I got in the mail just the other day.) Now, I crave Cozy Fantasy wherever I may find it

My go-to autumn book for a few years has been An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson. It's short, cute, magical, very Ghibli-esque. Just a sweet little comfort read, a teeny-tiny fairytale. It actually made me look into fae folklore and that's how I got to read the Winternight trilogy as well lol. I used to think fairy meant either pixie types or sexy elf types, neither are my cup of tea.

I love cozy fantasy and I'm so happy I finally read Half a Soul. I just read an ARC of her November release and it's amazing! It is still cozy but definitely leans more towards horror.

Fantastic list! I find T Kingfisher books really cozy for me

Thanks!! I can see that.

I think Minor Mage by T. Kingfisher would fit nicely in this list. The main character is in some peril early on, but from what I remember, it's pretty chill.

Terry Pratchett’s The Wee Free Men and A Hat Full of Sky are ultimate fall reads, full on humor, witchy cozy magic. Don’t miss💗💗

Love Legends and Lattes, and am excited for the prequel this Fall. This is usually the time I tackle John Gwynne because I want to read those epic fantasy books. They are cozy in some respects because they do start off slow since we need to catch up with the characters, but the further in you read it does build up to something exciting. I am enjoying his books. 😊💕💕💕

Possibly for the same reasons that you put LOTR on the list, i think the Farseer trilogy (haven't read the rest yet) also gives off some cozy vibes in a way? You know, on top of all the angst and epic quests? All the day-to-day stuff, the community castle living, the candle making and herb gathering...It's not going to win any "cozy" awards, probably, but that's where my mind went to anyway 🤔
