I realize I'm a couple months late and maybe someone has already mentioned or you've already figured this out but I'm pretty sure the stickers on your 4x4 Mirror Cube have orientation (based on like the stripes) and some of them were turned the wrong way. I could see it with the way the light was hitting the cube. The 3x3 Mirror Cube with silver stickers is the same way.
