I've had the Do-Hickey on my key chain for a long time and it's alright. I just picked up the Shard in one of those gift sets before the holiday's and gave the mini-para frame that came with it to a friend with really small hands! I haven't used it yet, but it's in my repair kit in my backpack. I also have the Style-CS and use it as my fingernail tool. Besides these mostly under used tools I always have my Victorinox Fieldmaster (which I use a lot) in my left pocket and I just picked up the Boker Plus Vox because I think it will be a better pry tool for my EDC use. I'm debating carry options on that now (pocket or Leatherman pouch [?]). Thanks for the video!

My brother and I purchased several of the black NiteIze DohicKey's since they were marked down to 48 cents. The silver were $4.99. I also own on of those Swiss Tool gadgets that fold up and has a small light that attaches to it. I never seem to use these things, but they're nice to have.

I'm an EMT in NYC. The KERT is fantastic. Tough as hell, and fits nicely in my keybar. Opens oxygen without an issue. And it's cheaper then most metal O2 openers on the market. The seatbelt cutter is sharp enough to cut away clothing, which is just a bonus. Well worth the few bucks I bought it for.

Ive been carrying the DoohicKey for a year and a half now and I think its one of the most underrated keychain tools around. The flat edge works nicely as a pry tool and has a slight edge on one side that does a great job of opening boxes/tape when I dont want to pull out my pocket knife (or where knifes arent allowed). I also use their S-biner and i like it, but i wish it had the little locking strap that their smaller sbiners have. I find myself fidgeting with the clips on it and ive ended up dropping my keys before. If it had the little rubber locks that their smaller ones have I would be less inclined to play with it.

I have a Gerber Shard and found its phillips head keeps sticking in my thigh in the pocket. So I made a paracord knot to cover the sharp tip. Victorinox classic SD has been in my key chain for a long time. Compared to leatherman micra or squirt series, it is more compact and simple. Now I'm thinking of upgrading it to a victorinox classic Alox Aqua 2020 limited. Seems like most of the items introduced in this video are versitile, compact and helpful. Thank you for this great review.

My wife and I are both nuts for the leather style ps / cs. I think we have 4 currently, one on each of our bags. I rock the PS on my EDC bag as I travel a ton for work and TSA has never given me a hard time (they have looked at it and let it right through). Rest are the CS.

Nice video. I'm a fan of the key chain tools as well. Those tools are always in my pocket. I have 3 of these items on my key chain every day plus the TSA approved multitool in my EDC bag. I have the Screwpop box cutter, it's used more than the other 2 tools. I also have the S-Biner Ahh from Nite Ize. Use it fairly often and it's the attachment between my car key and all other keys. The Swiss tech utili-key I've had for 8 or 10 years. I NEVER use the tools, but I can't bring myself to take it off the key chain. Mainly because it's been through TSA at least 15 times and into the court house 2 or 3 times. It's now just an experiment to see if security ever finds it.

I have that leatherman but with scissors instead of pliers and the spring broke on it randomly making it largely useless. I was disappointed because it was so great before it broke to have a pair of scissors. If it was stronger I'd recommend it because it has a nice little pair of tweezers stashed in it which is why I still carry it.

The bottle opening S-biner sucks. It lasted a few months, but eventually the spring bar becomes less springy, and eventually breaks at the joint. Saw one at the hardware store and decided to pick it up. It only had two keys on it, and I clipped it to my belt loop. I guess repeatedly opening and closing it, ( only twice a day) breaks it.

Had the Night Ize and a keychain tool from UST. For the wrench sizes, they both said but were actually 6mm. That was disappointing. I also had the Gerber Dime. It was supposedly new but was rusted and the tiny bolt heads had been stripped prior to our receiving it. The Night Ize, UST, and Dime all went into the trash.

Good over view. To me a tool has to be useful and smooth, most of them are just pocket hole makers that dig into the lining of your pocket and your change falls out, So the best ones for me would be the ones like the swiss army knife or the multi tools that fold up and leave no sharp edges or points. Moreover I detest the ones with screw driver bits that are changeable as you drop them. Also if they are too heavy or solid and in your pocket and you knock against something they can break the lining of your pocket. However if you carry you keys on carabinier on a belt then some of my criticisms would not be valid.

m7f7m7 is clearly not a Chinese knockoff manufacturer. I once bought a set of cycling clothing that I thought was just black with yellow stripes on the sleeves. When it arrived, it was covered in logos. I managed to find the original with some google-fu. It was a replica of some VERY expensive limited-edition '125-year anniversary' Mavic brand gear. They gave no fucks about blatantly using every one of the original logos and designs, they just didn't show them in the online store's photos. $25 instead of $275 (or more, since you couldn't buy them anymore) 😆

Most SAKs do in fact have a bottle opener, even some of the very small 58mm ones like the Classic shown here. The Rally has a bottle opener/Phillips screwdriver instead of the scissors, and the Manager, Rambler and Swisschamp have this as well as the scissors. Having said that I carry the Classic in my coin pocket and another Victorinox or multitool on my keychain, it's a secondary EDC and so small and light (3 oz) that you hardly notice it until you need it.

As an electrician that does strictly remodels this is an absolute essential tool. kzbin.infoUgkx0vyBwjtx9GGOuiqUVT2sRoYqmDoNT_RI Being able to precision cut any material with a light weight tool is priceless.I upgraded to this Dewalt 20v from a competitor's 12v. The Dewalt 20v is just as light as the competitor's 12v. I am extremely pleased with the overall performance and battery life of this tool. As far as oscillators go, they just aren't very ergonomic tools. The dewalt oscillators have an offset handle that do make them somewhat more ergonomic than the competitors' oscillators.
