Sherry, I could'nt believe my eyes when I saw that early Amerian canister set! My Aunt Fran gave it to me (also included a bread box) for a my bridal shower. Unfortunately,, we moved many times over the years and somehow the set was lost I have been a fan of farmhouse and country style decor for many years. Thank you! This sounds cliche, but I have realized that it is true-some of the best ideas come from mistakes. For example, initially, my paint stencil for the drawer didn’t have the words “Canterbury Cottage.” It said “hours” in that spot. But, I forgot to remove the vinyl letters (because I couldn’t see them😜), so I had an empty space there. I decided to make a second stencil that read “Canterbury Cottage” instead (which I think is a better idea). I edited all of this out of the video for the sake of time.

So unexpected and the outcome is dramatic due to the size but incredibly beautiful and stylish! Sarah, you are so very kind! Those metal legs were such a find-I wanted to use them in a unique way rather than making a bench. I was so pleased that they fit that drawer perfectly. I knew I wanted to hang those little vases from the lamp, but I didn’t want to use plant brackets that would stick out, so those little scroll pieces were perfect. Good morning, Sherry. Loved what you did with all of your projects today. The drawers look identical to ones I have in a Franklin roll top desk I inherited from my father. Terrific use of both of them! And using the $3.00 metal legs certainly made a “one of a kind” piece. The canisters turned out fabulously too! The two 50 cent frames with wallpaper inserted and the notecard into the silver frame were divine. The clock face and needlepoint insert is stunning! Thank you so much, Lee! You are so very kind. There were some burn marks on the bottom of the small drawer, so I think the desk was in a fire. Perhaps, only a couple of the drawers were salvageable. The drawers are heavy and dove-tailed, so I’m sure the desk was lovely.

I didn’t win the “cute count” Amazon card, but I did guess the right amount of “cutes”, so at least my hearing is still doing well.
