I sent her to Nuka World assuming the place was completely safe, so it leaves me wondering whether she and her companions managed to start a good new life there. As for Malcolm, I just killed him after getting the caps. No big deal and no kidnapped settlers.

I think it’s cool that the mole rat quest actually has consequences for being the good guy, but it really doesn’t make much sense why you would get the disease if you were wearing power armor or something protective. I got a mod to fix that but it was still a nice dilemma

It’s quite hard but you can get that ending without the mole rat disease. You don’t bring a companion and make sure you kill them before they hit you

i actually went into the console and used a command to reverse this disease, because it left me with the effect marker constantly on my HUD in the same way you get if youre addicted to chems, so i couldnt tell if i actually had picked up a chem addiction at a glance. It was too annoying to keep for this reason.

In my last playthrough I went in without a companion and each time I kill a mole rat I save , then just reload if I got bitten . You could still get the disease if they bitten your companion.

One of the first evil things you can do at the start of the game is when you go to a specific diner near the Minute Men Museum that has two punk (Man & Woman)kind of people who try to kill a mom (forget name) and her kid (Possibly named Paul) because they sold a kid drugs and want the money and you can basically join the two and kill the family which they allow you to buy some drugs off the guy. You get a benefit but it’s still an awful thing to kill the two because of them losing one drug.

Or negotiate a peaceful resolution which gets you a general store merchant and drug supplier. This is how I get chems early on in the game, especially antibiotics in survival.

Wait wait wait, in the Far Harbor DLC I accepted Malcom the cannibal raider's request just to get caps, then I killed him. I thought of it as scamming and ridding the island of that sick guy, but later on when finishing far harbor they said that the people at Echo Lake Lumber hadn't been heard from. Did my choice still count even though the cannibal is dead?

I always get the two speech checks on Bullet to get 600 caps and then sell him. Billy calls me an asshole. Then I blast Bullet and talk to Billy. He says why did you sell me? Duh for the caps

it's more like 1200 caps since each piece of pre-war money can be sold for 6 caps each (with high charisma and other barter things). I always do that when I have these kinds of "moral dilemmas": Choose the evil option in exchange for an extra pay/bribe and then kill the evildoer anyways. It is the best moral and economic choice.

Farharbour dlc showed Bethesda could still do a decent rpg. It seems like in their desire to appeal to everyone they forgot what made people love them in the first place. Prime example is Skyrim and Fallout 4, the most accessible of all their games.
