My daughter is on the staff at ALMA on the Atecama desert ( 16,000 ft,arid) and I sent this to her. She says it is a lot of hype that is NOT accurate. These are Radio Telephone monitoring listening sites operated by a Educational group.

I had two aunts, an uncle and a cousin who lived in Amarillo and worked at the Pantex Plant during the 1960s and 1970s. They all died of cancer.

Shelly I'm sorry about your loss we had the same thing here up in Ohio where they had to Manhattan project buried the chemicals from it and everybody works that plan as soon as I get retired they was dead within a year cancer God bless you and God bless your family from Indiana USA

@@TraderDan58 I’m so glad your nephew is fine and yes, I can guess what he does. Pantex has probably made a lot of progress and safety improvements since my relatives worked there during the 60s and 70s. They were also smokers which probably contributed to their getting cancer.

I’ve been to Jan Mayen (pronounced “yan may N”). It didn’t look too secret to me. If Beeremberg (sp) erupted in 1985 it must only have been minor - if it blew its top it would obliterate the island and anyone on it. As such, an extremely close eye is kept on the volcano and we saw all the measurements etc of data being watched. There was a firing range there, but as the island has seen polar bears this is probably used for people carrying rifles to practice. A permanent Norwegian presence is maintained, staff doing 6 months at a time. We were lucky to see Beeremberg since only about 14 days a year are free from mist and low clouds. My friend bought an ordinance survey map and a book about a dog which lived his whole life there. From that, there just isn’t anywhere on either the north or south island you could build a cottage, apart from the small village area already occupied. Indeed, it would be hard to find a less likely place to conduct secret activities. It’s remote and above 71 deg north and an assignment there is apparently not attractive to very many people.

Diego Garcia is such an interesting forbidden place, I guess that´s where MH370 got chopped up. I feel for the People that got exported by the British, even the lease expired recently UK re-signed the contract with the US.
