@Doug Bevins Eh. The guy went against one of the most powerful authorities on the face of the earth because he was annoyed that they were breaking their own laws. Takes a gargantuan amount of balls to do so. Gotta give him a smidge of respect for that, at least. Edit: Also, having a whole country going for your jugular tends to make you a tad bit concerned about your safety? I'm not sure, I can't relate.
@NuttyIG
@NuttyIG 4 жыл бұрын
@Doug Bevins lol you're literally copy/pasting this same comment everywhere. You some form of US bot? This man had a better paid job than you will ever have, and decided to throw it all away to expose one of the biggest mass surveillance schemes pulled off (against US laws btw). You call him a traitor for exposing the governments injustice towards its citizens? The government betrayed the nation. I think you, a puppet, fail to understand that the government is ruled by the people, not the other way around. You would happily bend down and expose your ass to the government in the name of patriotism? Shame on you, thousands, if not millions died to protect your freedom to speak out against the power and you refuse to accept the honour for which you did nothing to deserve.

Plautes Yes, as corrupt as the United States Government was and How much catastrophes they have caused. How do you expect a government who has fed, clothed, and given you a career to react to being betrayed over surveillace? As powerful and corrupt as our Government is, Snowden betrayed this beloved nation over "truth"? Also he lives in Russia of all places, they definitely have a deal with him so don't believe he's all innocent over one situation. He even stated in an interview of his "planned" betrayal of the United States, in all honesty he deserves torture for trying to expose the government.

actually, he did ask some tough questions that many people wanted to know. This interviewer did a great job. Some people do accuse Snowden of many things, so here is the chance for him to answer to these accusations. A propaganda would be to deprive him of any chances to explain himself.
@NickyTannock
@NickyTannock 8 жыл бұрын
The line of questioning seems fine to me: He opened by saying he would return home tomorrow if the US Government stopped spying on citizens. So he was asked if he's in discussions with the US Government about returning. He said the US Government haven't talked to him. He said he's fortunate in that he brought a lot of money with him. He was asked how he accesses it. He says it's in cash. He was asked how much he has. He says he can't declare how much he has. He was asked why he ran to Russia of all places. He says he asked 21 different countries, and all of them declined except Russia. He was asked if he made a deal with Russia. He says no, because he destroyed his old life to work against survalence. He was asked if Russia would get secret information from him. He says everything he knows is already public now. He was asked if he could access more secret information online. He says all the information he has is stored offline. He was asked if he worries about his future. He says he won't think about his future.
