21:9 is brutally under-supported. Most games, even those that claim to support it, require hex edits for full ultrawide (inc cutscenes). This is absurd given how many games are jaw-dropping with the extra real estate (looking directly at you, Dark Souls 3)

The following instruction is an edit of my report on ProtonDB: Install Hex editor of choice Use it to open DarkSoulsIII.exe and replace 80 07 00 00 38 04 with (2560x1080): 00 0A 00 00 38 04, (3440x1440): 70 0D 00 00 A0 05, (5120x1440): 00 14 00 00 A0 05. Now, go to steamapps/compdata/374320/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Application Data/DarkSoulsIII/GraphicsConfig.xml (Or wherever it is on Windows) Open with your preferred editor. Set the top section to WINDOW, 3440, 1440, 3440, 1440 (or your required res). Save and set the file to Read Only Launch DS3. It will (always) open in a squished window. Start playing and use the menu to switch to Fullscreen. Enjoy Then consider just how pitifully easy it would be for FROM to just make 21:9 a standard feature. The fact they won't speaks volumes.

Damn. I play a lot of games apparently because I've played nearly all of these on my 21:9 display. Bit surprising to not see Shadow of the Tomb Raider or Cyberpunk 2077 here because both those games look absolutely incredible on PC ultrawide.

@Vincent Tuminello I was thinking the same. I was thinking about upgrading to 21:9 but when I looks at comparison videos, the 21:9 basically just looks like when you add black bars to movies. However the 32:9 actually looks MUCH different, like it's a whole new experience I feel like. You still rocking your 32:9? How is it going?

You 21:9 lovers are a special breed. You were either oblivious to all the issues that many if not most games have and you sure love spending time chasing down fixes and tweaking things. And no matter what you do there are some games that just flat out will not work properly. If everything just works properly especially right out of the box then I would go back to 21:9 but as it is now it's just a pain in the butt. Don't worry I expect plenty of ignorant comments from people saying works great for me in every game and I never had an issue which is a complete and utter load of BS.

I would definitely add Elite Dangerous and Flight Simulator. But pretty much all racing and simulator games are very immersive, and the FPS shooters are great because of the added FOV on both sides.

@@ReLapse85 I have my Sony x900e at 3440x1440. And I use it as a standing desk. I love it. Black bars on my 4k TV dont bother me annd the picture quality is far better than my dell 1440p IPS monitor.
