This totally depends on the person, but when people buy me a book I love when people write a note in it to me that’s special. So if you do get them a book and it’s a new book that they haven’t read yet, and you want to make it special, write a little note in it and date it! Even more special if it’s YOUR favorite book that you want them to read! But book sleeves are always a good way to go, too!

I would highly recommend The Book Seat...they are awesome for propping books up no matter where you are..and u can also carry your phone on the little pocket it has..it's weightless but holds books of different sizes:) a friend got one for me and it is amazing!

One thing I've always done is put together an Amazon wishlist of ten or fifteen books that I don't already have in my collection that I am excited to read (or what has happened recently, books that I've checked out from the library and read and decided that I like them so much I want a copy for myself that I haven't bought yet) and then my family can look at those and know for sure that it's a book I don't already have. Also my family feels very safe in gifting me bookish socks, lol. I have a pair that my brother gave me that say "Fuck off, I'm reading" and they're my absolute favorites. xD

This such an excellent video for the Holidays Elliot. It totally gives me a Hallmark channel vibe. I have a lot of women in my family; i think they like the bags to carry your items. I like the bedside organizer is one i think my dad will love. The only people in my family that really read books besides me is my grandmother & my little cousin. I think sleepphones are good for when listening to audio books. I might get my cousin a book collection. One gift you can buy every book lover is a barnes and noble gift card. I know I'd love receiving wristwarmers and/or sleeveless gloves. I prefer the former as they're easier to slip on and off when you need to wash your hands or such, but it's great for reading in the winter. Even if you have a blanket and a sweater or shrug, your hands get cold holding a book. I'm also a tea drinker and there are a lot of tea companies that do book themed teas.

I have the Percy Jackson and Throne of Glass book jackets from Juniper Books! They are so gorgeous (but unfortunately, very expensive). For anyone who wants them, I would suggest getting the books separately and use ebay, bookoutlet, half price books, etc. to buy the books instead of getting them brand new (unless you already own them), and also watching for sales on the Juniper Books website, because they happen occasionally (they have black friday sales all weekend I believe)! Another cool place to get special editions of books is the Folio Society! They can be pretty expensive (most are $50-$67), but a lot of older books that aren't on the website anymore are on ebay and other places like that for usually a lot less. I have gotten a couple of these given to me as gifts and I have found a bunch on ebay for around $10 each for a friend and she loved them!

I'm a bit stumped that none of the 15 gift ideas where simply "a book the person doesn't already have". Also if there is a live reading of a book somewhere in your area it's super worth it. I got one when I was 12 or 13 and it was just amazing. It requires a bit of planning but they are usually not that expensive and you get a nice evening out.
