One thing that's been helping me stay motivated recently is whenever I have to do something I don't want to do, I make a list (mentally or written) of the positive outcomes/purpose of/things I might learn from whatever I have to do. It sounds cheesy but when I approach everything like an intentional learning experience or a challenge that I can complete successfully by my own standards, it makes it less terrible. For example, I'm trying to enter a new career path and I don't like my current job. Every time I go to work, I remind myself that my current job is an opportunity to practice patience and clear communication.
