Fun fact: restockers aren’t programmed to prioritize using partial boxes. In my game, I wanted to have one full shelf of boxes for each product and just stock it at my leisure. But my ding dong restocker keeps creating 2, 3, even 4 partial boxes instead of finishing off the first one! Frustrating!

Things I've learnt whether they're useful or not, but its for the YT algorithm and new/experience players. 1) You don't need to buy storage early game - just toss stock into one corner like a gremlin and you frantically search through your growing pile to find that one box of bread to restock shelves. 2) You can toss boxes at people and they don't mind - sure it phases through them, but it's a good to know. 3) Designated areas in both shop and stock for types of stock. This makes it much easier to locate stock in a hurry during open hours and can also see what needs to be restocked. 4) Bulky items should be have dedicated shelf, fridges or freezers. They sell quick and take lots of storage so ensure you have plenty of stock everywhere. 5) Have your own designated till, sometimes it's quicker for you to serve customers than employees if you need some quick cash when buying more stock in the day. 6) Fed up with retail work? You can walk out the shop anytime and take a stroll around the block whilst your staff or no one works in the shop during opening or closing hours. Nothing is stopping you 7) As mentioned in the video, you can re box stock, so if you have a few left over stock in a box that cluttering storage you can juggle stock to clear some space. 8) Finally and most importantly - If someone give you $100 bill for a $2.00 item, nothing is stopping you giving the cent change. Just invest into a auto clicker as you can't click and hold change to give it out.

You can actually close a lane if you need to leave to go restock. Just use E to open or close the register. It will put a 'lane closed' sign on the belt.

When you close a box and it still has a product picture on it then theres something in it. If it doesnt have a picture then the box is empty.

The first time you pay/unlock storage, the door inside your shop doesn't open, but the door OUTSIDE does, so you can still use the storage at level 1. In fact, you can see the outside door that faces the street open in this video.

In my perspective, the items that lower or go up in price day by day are the retail value of the item and not the price that you will pay for it. Correct if im wrong.. you will pay always the same value, but the sell price to the public can change..

Incorrect. You can see on the market buy page there's a green/red arrow next to the price of the item that changed, letting you know that price you're paying, also went up or down. What's BS, is this forces change to the retail value of the item, so it doesn't benefit you a damn bit. It's really just a tedious and unnecessary feature. Retail value should stay the same, so we get a little bonus when wholesale price drops.

@@SMOKEMTV The original comment, and mine are 100% correct. Micromanaging daily price changes is not simulation, bc it's not realistic. Stores don't do that. Do prices change? Yes... but not for the reason forced in the game. The PPI determines product prices, and it doesn't fluctuate often enough or drastically enough to require grocery stores to keep changing their prices on a daily basis. 99% of pricing changes in stores, is from sales, when distributors run specials, offering specific items at a reduced cost to the store. MSRP of a particular item doesn't typically change more than once a year. In fact, because of this system in the game, you're likely not going to be given much in the way of real simulation, b/c you're already micromanaging too much to have time, unless you want to spend 5x more time getting the store ready than you spend actually open making money. We could have actual simulation things, like employee wage management and skill leveling with experience, a computer that keeps track of inventory, weekly specials from distributor sales, sales tax, customer rewards, accidents and clean ups, kids throwing tantrums (jk). This is a very shallow mobile quality game, that isn't actually trying to be a "simulator". It's what I would expect to play if the developer never even worked at a grocery store in their life, and also barely understood coding.

Before you unlock the inside door to storage - when you do the first unlock - you can go outside the store to the left to enter your storage room.

I think the time thing is either patched or there is a limit. Because I keep the store closed in the mornings restock and re order, then hit open and it jumps to 9:00 pm and it’s dark.

Every time I end my day and I look at the daily statistics, on the customer row it says missed products 17 in red. Does anyone know what that means?

It means that 18 shoppers were unable to find certain items in your stock. Maybe they were out of stock items or they couldn't see the items

Just stock your shelves with one shelf of each item and you should be good! 😊 it will say missed item if the stock on your shelf runs out and they can't purchase it

Where you place your lights does matter too. Aside from it lighting up the store, you could also 'spotlight' items. i.e.Spotlight the Endcaps usually sells more. I hope this helps

Found out that the storage room OUTSIDE DOOR is open/unlocked when "storage" is bought. The $1200 is unlocking inside door.

I'd recommend 1 shelf for each item type. When you upgrade to new items and upgrade the size of your store it gives you enough space for 1 shelf of each item type. I spam order items in stacks of 10 and stock the storage room and then have workers stock shelves.

Also I would recommend setting items in 50¢ or $1 increments. It makes giving change 1000x easier.

My stockers keep getting stuck, just standing in the stockroom staring at a rack until I move pull the box down that they're bugged on. Also, every other day or so, my stocker will take a box to the wrong shelf to stock the item and never go to the right shelf. Even moving the shelf, the stocker just want to follow that shelf. I find myself just using cashiers and doing all the stocking myself. The bugs aren't worth the hassle.

This video was very helpful. What I am having problems with, though, are the restockers. They just won´t stock. They only stand outside the store staring into the distance. I got my storage, I got my racks. And yet they won´t do anything. No idea how to get them to do their job. 🤔

I had this issue, too! I made the honest mistake of trying to place my boxes on the shelves using G. You have to left click the shelf while holding the box, and it’ll zip on there with a label. THEN the restocker will come to life.
