Despite being a native Italian, I really enjoy this kind of videos you make about the Italian language :) Little insight: you can also write "buonasera", "buongiorno" and "buondì" without spaces; as for the stress in the word "conoscerti/La", it is on "no" and not "sce" :)

If I told/showed someone (an italian) that my name legally is/ and written as Pèrugini ( with an open e) Have the name Pèrugini (with and open e) broken the language and their brain would explode. ?__?
@ariolevrero3042 Жыл бұрын
@@sexymanicou3403 "Pèrugini" is a blatant transcription mistake. It makes absolutely no sense in Italian. I think the only language placing a graphic accent on a similar word is French, where place/family name "Pérouse" exists (but it's a high accent instead of a low one and, on top of that, it does not shift the stress, since graphic accents in French are totally unrelated to stress, their purpose being to distinguish among them open E, close E, semi-E).
@sexymanicou3403 Жыл бұрын
@@ariolevrero3042 What about if : 1. I wrote my name as Perugini and say that the e is open ( è) would that be okay. 2. Ario Levrero what if I wrote it as Perugìni would that be okay. 3. Or both ?__?
@ariolevrero3042 Жыл бұрын
@@sexymanicou3403 the only correct form is "Perugini", pronounced with closed E and stress on -gi- syllable, but without any graphic accent. An open E would sound quite natural, for instance, in Palermo, where they tend to wide open every vowel, but even there nobody would stress the first syllable. Maybe Finns would dare!

@@maryamgholizad2798 it is exactly what you say; 2buongiorno" it is almost always used until 12 am; after it becomes "buon pomeriggio" (good afternoon) or "buonasera" (good evening)

What does "gisadege" mean? (probably wrong spelling). It seems to be a greeting that Italian Americans use. I've heard my Grandad say that when I was a kid and Giuseppe Vaffanculo (from the Perfect Triangle radio show) say that also...

I’m not familiar with this word as it doesn’t look or sound like anything in standard Italian

@@theintrepidguide It may be an Italian American word like "Gumad" (which was prominent around Brooklyn NY when I was a kid)...
