Thanks for the tips! Nifty stuff here. One tip of mine is to actually talk more TO your pet (any pet) than ABOUT your pet when it is around. They're like people in the sense where they can actually tell those types of behaviors and your true emotional energy.

Pumpkin pumpkin pumpkin! Only real pumpkin with no no no spices in it. It is a must to have on hand at any given moment when your doggie gets the poopies. It has saved my Pomeranian I'm going to put that several times. That's not to say if you think they have swallowed something or has been having diarrhea for a long period of time the vet is always a good idea. This is just for the dog that gets amped up during Fourth of July and then a couple days later the surprises starts coming. Not to mention they love it it's very good fiber for them too!

Another hack you might like is using a small wooden panel, decorating it, hammering in some nails, then hang your leashes and harnesses on them. Its a great way to keep them organized and its really cute!

I'm trying to have my dog trained as a service dog, but have no idea how to go about registering her as lawfully as possible. She helps me with PTSD already (not much training was needed, she could just tell when i start to get upset and steps in), but she hasn't had official training. Any tips for how i should go about registering her as a service dog (especially since there doesn't seem to be an official way to register or prove your dog is a service dog?)

There is no registry. As long as your dog has been trained specifically to be a service dog and actually does something specific to help you, it's a service dog. And it can't be "oh he makes me happy so he's a service dog" (not that you do this, just in general) That's what an ESA does. Ex. say you have panic attacks or nightmares. You teach your dog to interrupt when that happens. This is one of the many things a service dog can do for people.

ArishaSmile sounds like your dog is pretty much a service dog already. the only thing is your dog has to be very well behaved in public to legally be let into public places. this means no barking, hyper behavior, cant interfere with people or other service dogs... etc.

one tip I could leave: don't feed bones that can be a choking hazard to a dog. my dogs very very very rarely get ANY bones that are not meant for dogs because of possible choking.

Okay, life hack, I learned from the woman who helped me and my family get a puppy that we are getting in 6 weeks, she told us what to do when you leave somewhere and don’t know if your dog ate. *Don’t* put a handful because you have to count the food first and after you come back, count the dog food again to see if your dog ate anything. Try it and tell me if it works! Love this vid btw.

Cheeba K A responsible breeder won't allow their dogs to end up in shelters. If a buyer no longer wants the dog it'll go right back to them and they typically microchip to ensure this. The responsible breeders aren't the ones responsible for the dogs in shelters. If I want a registered purebred dog with health tested parents, genetic testing, pedigree, etc. I'm not going to find that in a shelter.

Lexie's Dogs, Cats, Rodents, & Reptiles wrong. Ive seen this happen over and over again. Just because a dog is coming from a breeder does not mean its healthy.... take the bully for example. This breed cost thousands of dollars and now theyre all over shelters everywhere because they have hip problems... and yes you can find all of what youre looking for in a shelter. Please do some research or even just go into the shelter.

Cheeba K when did I ever say that just because a dog comes from a breeder means it's healthy? There are backyard breeders as we all know but a RESPONSIBLE breeder will do extensive health and genetic testing on their dogs, have known pedigree, compete is conformation, etc. They'll only breed the best of the best and won't allow their dogs to end up in shelters. I'm not going to find a puppy with all of this in a shelter because a responsible breeder would never allow that. Also I have been to a shelter thank you very much. My current dog is a mutt but my next dog is going to be purebred and from a responsible breeder.

An okay life hack to keep your dog calm when you are away or when they are in a carrier when traveling. Put one of your t-shirts in there. Your smell will comfort your dog. But make sure the t-shirt is one you wouldn't wanna wear again. :3

Easy, fun, inexpensive doggie coats for winter weather. Go to your thrift store and pick up some cute baby coats! I use size six months for my little shih-tzu and 18-months for my 16-pound pom-poo. Cut the sleeves off, and put the coats on backwards! The zipper or snaps go on top of your puppie. Works great and now they have a fabulous wardrobe!

Baby wipes!!!! Save my life haha. I use them to clean his paws after he goes out, wipe him down, clean his little dog area. Very gentle and mild. :) Love the apple/chicken broth idea- i'm definitely going to try that.

So this is the first video I've watched from your channel, however you clearly love and care about your doggo and his/her health maybe you'd like giving him home made dog food (most recipies are good frozen so you could precook a week or two's worth of food) and every recipe I've seen so far is either like a beef Patty or soup but you don't add the broth until you're about to feed them, I really hope this makes sense and that you see this

My husband and I stand by the Thunder Shirt for our dog to wear during storms. Something about the feeling of being held calms my dog down very quickly. But I will also try the dryer sheet trick next time!

Hey just a tip, if you're worried about your dogs 'smelly' breath, its probably because he has food stuck in his teeth or possibly dental issues. This is usually caused by feeding your dog kibble or wet food- i would recommend either switching to a raw food diet, or feeding them raw chicken/lamb bones to clean their teeth - doing both is probably the best though.

Tepi Valero Thats if you cook them! then they can splinter and cause damage along the digestive tract or cause your pets to choke on them. That's why you always have to feed them RAW. I usually give my pup lamb neck bones and he'll finish it within an hour - he loves it!

Bailey Daniels I said especially NOT cooked - only raw. Personally I don't feed my dog chicken bones, only lamb, but chicken is perfectly fine too. The only risk is that they're small so bigger dogs might swallow them whole which can be dangerous.

If you feel comfortable let the puppy sleep in the bed with you so she gets use to you and your scent. I did that with KOÁ and within a week he was fine. Also it allows you to feel when your pup has to use the bathroom. You'll be fine!! Just keep working hard at make that puppy feel at home
