I like Metallica. I was reading an article where they used to use Metallica music torture people that are captured in the service other countries I believe Perry but they would play it for hours Non-Stop. I wish it was me I love Metallica music you can play it all day all night on volume nine and a quarter LOL just a crazy guitar player

2:33 you mention on the captions about having muscle memory to play these as a group. I've been doing this thinking im doing it wrong because I have ironed these sixplets and triplets so much in my head that sometimes it's difficult to think of each note individually. Im guessing the best is to be able to group them while still being able to slow down and tell each note apart? Because while on these songs it's pretty easy since there's no changes, sometimes with songs with weirder rhythms it becomes harder to do it properly. Huge example would be battery, that a lot of people don't even play "right" because it's so hard to play it how it was written.

I accidentaly have followed almost the same path in my 9 months of self learning. Thanks for reminding me the interlude from Master, this is my todays and for some days practice riff, it arleady goes well. I have a question, at Creeping death the pull off at the end of riff sounds sometimes non properly like some notes get lost. I switch to clean channel to see if i just miss the notes but it is not the case. Is there any chance I use too much gain for this one? Or I am just meshing up with the technique because of speed.

4:50 this riff is pain ... lol , i always miss like slightly with instant double pick ... hope it gets locked soon. some days it's really frustrating.

such an amazing band, now is turn to master it with megadeth
@MetalCorpsYTАй бұрын
Honestly... Master of Puppets is not master level downpicking. I think it's advanced. In my opinion master level downpicking would be like Master of Puppets 25% faster. (I can play that :) ) Or if it's not because of the speed but the different strings it would still not really be master level in my opinion. Anyways, these riffs do teach guitar very well! Love the tones in this video.
@theancientone1616Ай бұрын
It’s master level not only because of the sheer speed but also because it lasts for almost 8 minutes straight. Just because you can play it faster doesn’t mean it’s not master level. I wouldn’t downplay the downpicking skills of anyone who mastered Master of Puppets.
@MetalCorpsYTАй бұрын
@@theancientone1616 I get it but I wasn't trying to show off. I think it's fairly 'easy'. The techniques aren't to difficult. It's either downpicking or alternate picking but on 2 strings. I think that the hardest part would be to get your fretting hand perfect and on time.
@theancientone1616Ай бұрын
@@MetalCorpsYT sorry man, but if you claim that a song that’s widely known to be hard to master for most ppl (specifically for it’s down picking) is easy, then it definitely looks like you’re just trying to show off. (I can play that :) )? Seriously? That’s not showing off?
@MetalCorpsYTАй бұрын
@@theancientone1616 The fact that I can play it 25% faster was meant to kind of impress people with that. But not with the normal speed. It might be easier for some people to alternate pick the song. But I never really alternate picked anything so I built up some decent speed. Plus. I am so far from being master level at guitar playing. I'm like intermediate maybe halfway intermediate. Maybe check out Bernth. He's pretty accurate with the levels of guitar playing. Keep in mind tho that I do not mean to say that mop is easy. I defenitely don't think that. And I get that people struggle learning the song. Plus. I'm 15 and I do still make mistakes in life. You're sounding quite frustrated and I don't mean to get you frustrated
@theancientone1616Ай бұрын
@@MetalCorpsYT Yeah maybe I am a little frustrated, because it’s just sad what guitar culture is becoming nowadays. Back in the day, people (no matter if other guitarists or non-guitarists) would applaud you for perfectly playing Master of Puppets, because it’s a hard song. Nowadays most people who also play guitar will just say “it’s not hard, because I can play harder things” while most people that don’t play guitar will say “it’s not hard because I saw this KZbinr playing something insanely harder.” I think the internet has a lot to do with that because on KZbin, people only post when they finally nail something, they don’t post the other 1000 failed attempts at playing it or the time they put into it. KZbin also gives an over-inflated feeling of how many “master” guitarists there actually are. Sure you know like 40 absolute gods of guitar on the internet. How many do you know in real life though? And it’s detrimental to new guitarists, because nobody really cares if you finally learn some crap like Fade to Black, because they have already seen multiple of their favorite internet personas play things that put it to shame.

Bro you shouldn’t take you index finger out when you’re playing it’s a big mistake
