After years of listening to metal music and got to know a lot of amazing guitar player, I know that Kirk is not the best in term of skills and techniques. But listening to this is kind of bring me back to the root of where I start or why I love metal music and play guitar. Maybe Kirk is not known as the best of all the time, but he is the reason why so many people in this world start to play guitar. Kirk Hammett and Metallica will always have special place in my heart! If you thought kirk hammet wrote the solo for ride the lighting and kill em all. You lived a life of ignorance. It was the writing of Dave Mustane. Any solo after those album was kirk. And it sound like shit. No musicality at all. Especially master of puppets solo. Just a bunch of random notes. Such an anticlimax to a great song master of puppets.

You never hear a bad word about the fella. You never see him overplay his hand. He knows his limits ( which is still insanely amazing) and a rock solid guitar player. Everything you want in your band. The solos match the songs so well. Fade to black, for me, is the greatest metal song ever written. It showed what can be done in the genre. The solo is amazing. And to do it as an outro. Wow! Amazing playing here dude!
