As someone with short hair, I’ll say that a) you rarely get it right with the first cut and b) you have to spend time with your short hair to learn how it moves and how it feels good. I saw a lot of decent short cuts that are styled poorly in this video, and some that are styled well. If you ever decide to chop it off, know that what you see here isn’t your fate and it’s a process to figure out what’s great for you.

I’m puzzled why some women are given blond highlights, while the roots are left dark. In fact I notice how in real life I see blondes with lengthy dark roots. It makes them look like they can’t afford a trip to their hairdresser. Also, when the hairdresser floofs their hair around so much at the end, not all women will be able to make it look like that at home. I used to use a curling iron and Extra Super Duper Hold Aquanet just trying to make it look at least a little bit as good as the stylist did!

I expect a hairdresser to be the expert in knowing the cut and style of my hair they believe would look good on me. In all my 62 years of living I’ve yet to find one hairdresser that is willing or able to provide that information to me. I’ve spent 62 years unsatisfied with the way my hair looks because I have no idea what cut or style would truly look great on me. Leaving the decision to me has been disastrous for 62 years now. 😢

Thank you! I changed hairdressers partly because of that. When I hit 50 his trims got bigger and bigger and one day my hair was barely chin length, from shoulder length. It was like he was hellbent on making me look matronly. My current hairdresser respects me and at 58, my hair is a good 5 inches past my collarbone. She's awesome! At night I twist my hair and put a silk sleeping cap over it, and in the morning I finger-comb it into soft waves. Older women are entitled to beach waves, messy-sexy tresses, or whatever hair we want!

Some of these are fantastic but a few were cut too short for their faces, as they looked better with longer hair, even if just a little longer. Not sure why everyone is getting the same haircut, a short bobb. No layers or diversity, except for a couple of pixies, the beautiful purple, and curly blonde at the end.

I have curly yet not very!! curly hair and got myself some kind of a layered wolve cut. It looks great for all for all of a whole week, because I think curly hair needs much more moisture and dries out if you wash it too often. . . Looks great and I don't regret my long mane.

This video makes me miss my mother who was also a hairdresser stylist and she always did my hair. My hair was my crowning glory. I had a long, iso perm, ringlets, brown and gold. She passed away and my hair suffered miserably ever since it was fun watching you turn these girlshairs into a masterpiece. The very last girl in this video most closely resembles what I had long curly ringlet hair. I love it.

Yes, short pixies don't look good on everyone. Part of an excellent stylists job is determining what will look nice for that particular face shape and age. Most of these will require skill to get the hair like he did. Most of these women's before do not look like they are high maintenance women that waste hour plus on their hair. Frustration abounds!

I will be impressed when I see long layers cut properly with sectioning, measuring, precision. What I see here are mostly square, masculine cuts, mostly short. Many don’t sit right due to the undercut with overhanging top layers. They look very hard to wear in real life, fussy, rely too much on razors too, shredding 🙏🏻
