Well normally I'd say go buy his programs where he has follow-along routines but since Jeff himself asked us at the end of the video, I think that would take him to the next level in terms of subscribers so it's a win-win. For the past months I see Jeff is looking to change his format a little bit anyway. He was talking from different angles, with sound effects and jokes thrown here and there, it was really hard to follow, and I had to skip to the last part where Jessie had the summary board. Fortunately he stopped doing that for a few weeks and he is doing the old format, but if he wants to do something new this should be it.

It was refreshing to while I was doing the workout since I was feeling better than before, exercising that time while seeing results feels fantastic ngl. I haven't been doing this, I'm in college now and the best I can do is stay in a caloric deficit and sneak in working out in the free time. Currently more on the same 90kg weight but with lesser body fat. Will be hitting the gym soon!

It's actually an 8 minutes (approx.) workout if you're doing just one round. 8x2 = 16 (intermediate). 8x3 = 24 (advanced). The timestamp is at 192 secs (a little over 3 minutes). Per exercise (including rest) 30s. 12 exercises. 12x30 = 360 secs = 6 minutes. Rest between sets = 30s. Total rest for beginners = 30s + 30s = 1 minute. Total workout+rest time for beginners = 7 minutes (+1 minute because you'll be fucked anyway) Total rest for intermediates = 30 secs x5 = 150 secs = 2.5 minutes. Total workout+rest time for intermediates = (7 mins x2) + 2.5 minutes = 14 minutes + 2.5 minutes = 16.5 minutes (a little over 15 minutes). Total rest for advanced = 30 secs x7 = 210 secs = 3.5 minutes. Total workout+rest time for advanced = (7 mins x3) + 3.5 minutes = 21 minutes + 3.5 minutes = 24.5 minutes (a little over 23 minutes). Hence proved, 8 minutes, or 15 minutes, or 23 minutes.

I amended this to simply repeat the leg section three times in a row. Turns into a killer leg workout in 7mins. Proof of its effectiveness: went to the mountains for the first time in years at the weekend and powered straight up 1000m of elevation with 30% gradient. Recovered in a couple of minutes. Awesome Jeff - thank you.

March 14: Tough workout!! Very beginner level!!!!! All right everyone, many of you, like me, want to see more data from the average guy that’s limited on time, gets home at 5:30 or 6:00 exhausted at the end of a long day, makes time with the family until puts the kids into bed at 8pm, but still wants to be in shape and feel better! I’m 46, 5’10” 195lbs. Here’s my plan: meals will consist of protein: eggs, chicken, pork chops, maybe meat(once this week); vegetables: fresh green beans, (they’re the best) fresh broccoli; snack: almonds (not salted) and lots and lots of water. No fruit, no bread, no tortillas, or any of my favorite meals! I’ll work out everyday this week and provide an update on March 21. Remember, everyone’s results will be different depending on age and many other variables! Jeff, thank you for putting this quick and challenging workout routine for us all! Really appreciate you! Update-March 15: was able to do some of the exercises at the intermediate level, still extremely challenging. Morning of Mar 16-weight:193, Woke up tight and somewhat sore all over. Began the morning with stretching to loosen up, especially the legs. Update Mar 16 workout: my lower body is at an beginner/intermediate level; my upper body is very weak, barely at a beginner level. I’m beginning to keep up with Jeff’s tempo in the lower body routine but none of the others. Update Mar 17: after a 10min jog/sprint warm up, since my upper body is weak, I did 4min dumbbell workouts (I’ll add pushups tomorrow). Took a 3min break and I managed to get through most of the lower body routine at the advanced level except the last one. Endurance is the key and will come eventually! Upper body, again, kicked my butt, barely beginner level but I felt better than I did on Sunday. Core, I managed to do most at my tempo, again, the last one kicked my butt! I weighed myself this morning and I’m at 192lbs however, I went up one notch on my belt in order to keep my pants up. I think it’s due to water loss as most other trainers have stated in their articles or KZbin videos. So far I like the routine because it’s quick and I do it while the kids are taking their baths. I’m done in 30mins and I feel like my body is getting stronger and I feel more confident! Don’t get me wrong, I still have a long way to go!!! Almost forgot, I’m not as sore or tight. I stretch every morning! Helps me wake up and feel better! Update Mar 18: 191lbs, again, as I stated before, it’s water weight that I’ve lost so far. However, I have one tip for you beginners like me. The dumbbells kinda helped but after my stretching this morning I did 2 sets of 10 push ups. Then this evening, after my warmup, I did some dumbbells 3 sets of 10 using 10lb & finishing with 20lb. Then 2 sets of 10 push ups. Took a 5 min break and started Jeff’s routine. I learned that I was able to do more of Jeff’s upper body routine. Push ups are the key to do the upper body routine for me. Again, I really like how challenging and quick this routine is!! I can feel my upper body toning up bit by bit especially the rib cage muscles. Update Mar 19: got home at almost 8:00pm, I’m beat!! Decided to take the night off from this beast of a routine! I ate some chicken fajitas, put a little sour cream and drank half a cup of water to avoid getting up at 3am to go pee (some of you guys my age know what I’m talking about) and then went to bed by 9pm. Just exhausted after a long week! Once again, I’m the average guy just trying to stay in shape and feel better! Update Mar 20: 190lbs, the one day of rest really helped!! Today, walk/sprint for 10min, push-ups, weights, mountain climbers & bicycle sit-ups. I then did another KZbin routine that focuses on core just to do something new, it was 10min. Took a 5 min break, got some water then hit Jeff’s routine. I’m getting better but it is still kicking my butt!! Pants are really fitting better! Slept all night last night! Probably because I’m beat!! Haven’t slept through an entire night in several years! Will provide another update next weekend! Once again, thanks Jeff, you are an inspiration and motivator! Tip to you average guys & maybe gals, work the upper body! Without a strong upper body this routine will continue to beat me! But because I started doing weights and especially push-ups I’m improving! Best wishes everyone! The average guy!

I love seeing what is coming next during my rest period. I started to fall off in my fitness because I went too overboard with it and lost balance in my life, saw myself starting that classic cycle of going nothing -> all -> nothing and feeling bad about myself, and then thought while sitting at my computer waiting for a game to download, I have to wait for this game to finish downloading and it says I have 5 minutes. I can do that Athlean x hiit workout I used to do for a round while I wait just to feel good and have some energy. Just killed it and feel so much better. It doesn't take much. If you feel yourself sliding, don't beat yourself up for doing less than you have been, even if it is just one 8 minute workout a week. What matters is it's something. In the end it builds that self confidence and proof to yourself that you won't give up on yourself. And now I have a cool new trick where instead of sitting waiting for a game to download I can get a quick workout in to make time go faster lol
