After a few wiper blade fails enough was enough and the fix had to take place.
in the video we strip down the scuttle panel and wiper motor parts to replace and fix the fault.

Thanks! I'm replacing mine at the moment. About to take the motor out, but was not sure when I refit the motor to make sure the wiper blades are set right! Yiu showed that perfect! Cheers!

Just used your video for the same fix, nice one. I did also notice that your new motor is quite a lot weaker, same as mine. The wipers work maybe at half their original speed, but that's the sacrifices we make to save a good bit of money. Doing this on a budget so the speed doesn't really bother me.

I didnt really notice any difference, manly because mine wasnt working in the first place to use as a comparison. A number of years later and the motor is still going strong too

I bought it from ebay, it was a new part and just searched for the parts filtered price low to high. I've had a quick look and this part isnt showing up anymore (that I could see).

I turned my igniton on last night to start the heater whilst my window was full of snow. i did not relaise I had my wipers on. I heard a loud click and now my wipers don't work.Do you reckon its the motor?

Id remove the scuttle the click / clunk may hopefully be the balljoint popping you should be able to just pop it back together. Best of luck let me know how it goes

Hi. Thanks for the video . I have the issue of my wipers parking about 6 inches up the window screen. And not going all the way up to clear. They will go fully down but when the go to stop they come back up and park up about 6-8 inches up the window. Any ideas what it could be . Thanks pal

@@ice962 ok this is from memory so it could be incorrect. Best to remove the motor and try and rotate with the electrical plug still attached, to give access to the plug to undo, typically they have a piece to lift / push to allow the unplugging.

I found it on ebay to be honest pal, I searched euro car parts and parts 4 you and eBay hands down was the cheapest

to be honest, i'm not sure, it would be at minimum and hour's labour which could be £60 upwards, then the price of the part from a delivered company which would they would then add a mark up to the value, my guess would be around the £200 - £250 mark...

@@mountainman6172 to be honest, i would give it a whirl as jobs go its pretty straight forward just take your time and keep a container for the nuts and bolts you will be alright

A few sockets, screwdriver and torx bits. It's a pretty straightforward repair, best of luck if your about to take it on

Hello, can someone give me some advice please, changed the wiper motor and all the arm system, still not working... replaced the fuses still nothing, my car is renault clio 3 1.4 2007 (its due to a MOT in few days and I always find new stuff to fix.. so annoyed

Are you getting power to the motor? Its not uncommon for switches to break

@@WilliamMurfitt No power to the motor, I am also getting new fuse box in as the headlight relay got melted in the socket. I've read that for the wipers the problem might be in the 'BCU' or whatever. Im getting more and more motivated to just drive this crap of a cliff ;D
