Just made mine. Is it perfect or as good as a $200 grappling dummy? No. But it cost me $15 to get a onesie from Goodwill, already had everything else, and now I have a dummy I can do some basics on to get better outside of class.

I made a simmular one. Except i used a stuffed back pack as the torso and a ball for the head, and i tied the joint areas so it moves more naturally. Also i put a coat hanger in my hoodie. I don't understand how people can spend so much money on something u can liturally make in one hour from your overused clothes. Some of them doesn't even have realistic proportions or full range of motion.

Heres a question. How do I make the dummy Heavy.? any tips?
@AgentZackSit
@AgentZackSit 3 жыл бұрын
Replace the torso pillows with a workout sandbag as a core surrounded by thinner pillows/blankets. Depending on your budget and where you wanted the weight to be, you could also put sand in pool noodles. You could cut them to size according to the length of the joints. I would just make sure you secure the sand in the pool noodle super well so you dont have sand all over your training area. Hope that helps!
@AgentZackSit
@AgentZackSit 3 жыл бұрын
I also just thought of this, if you really wanted to go all in, you could buy a weighted blanket and substitute it throughout the dummy where needed. If you look up weighted blanked on Amazon, they come in different weights, 20lbs, 30lbs, etc

What can you use for the bones to make the legs and arms more resistant to folding easily
@AgentZackSit
@AgentZackSit 2 жыл бұрын
Depending on the intensity of training, you can try taping PVC pipe into the towels before you roll them up. But the more tightly rolled your towels are, the more rigid the arms will be. Same applies for the sweater sleeves. The fuller the arms/pant legs are, the less folding you'll run into
