Here's something I just learned because of something a bokoblin had - if you stick a bee hive to the end of your weapon, you won't be able to throw it anymore, instead it'll shoot out a swarm of bees

If you make a vehicle in the depth, throw a Brightbloom on it. The Brightbloom tree will stick on your vehicle as a light source without having to use Zonai lights that consume extra battery.

Careful when doing this to flying vehicles though, as it can throw the weight distribution off. Try to put the seed directly beneath where you'll be standing.

​@@BagelKami ​Basically, you have to progress the Quests with Robbie and Josha until you unlock Autobuild. Once you do, Robbie will go to Hateno Tech Lab after you fix his Balloon in Lookout Landing. Go to him there, and he gives you the standard Shrine Sensor. Take pictures of 5 different Monsters in the Compedium, and you unlock Sensor+.

For the Rock Octoroks, you don't need to wait for the Octorok to throw the weapon back at you. You can kill it the moment it inhales the weapon and it will drop fully repaired, with its buff. Killing the Octorok is okay because you can't reuse them for this purpose until the Blood Moon respawns them anyway.

@@lazyryan3766 No. The weapon they give back never changes in TOTK like it did in BOTW. It just repairs it as it and rerolls a buff on it. If you feed them rusted weapons, it will always give back the same rusted weapon, full durability, with a buff.

Something I found out later too is that you can use star fragments on the tip of a magic staff to create a light staff that will throw light balls. Its very useful for exploring the depths

I have been warning why they keep throwing so many star fragments unlike BOTW. It seems anytime I'm already sidetracked I see numerous star fragments falling. Now I'm sure there's maybe hopefully a reason other than this but it certainly seems that they must have some use in this game that they didn't have prior

The one neat trick I found but haven't seen anyone else mention is that a Dazzlefruit explosion will instakill any Stall-creatures it hits. I keep a Korok-Spear tipped with a dazzle fruit in my inventory to pop out anytime the dang skeleton's start to show up.

A big one for me - if you see a group of bokoblins and a group of constructs close together, get as close as you can without getting noticed! You might get to watch them beat one another up and then pick off any survivors at the end of the battle.

Did this last night! It was great, I got a ton of new weapons and a new kind of construct horn. Something called the Constuct Captain II and the Construct Soldier II horn. I combined it was a Mighty Long Zonai sword and its pwr is 44 or something like that

Something i haven't seen anyone talk about is how to make 5 fire arrows from 1 fire arrow. Something that carried over from BotW is that Blue Chu Jelly can be transformed into its elemental counterparts by interacting with its respective elements. So by placing 5 chu jelly on the ground and then throwing 1 fire fruit or fire chu jelly at them, the rest will transform, effectively multiplying them. Repeat until you run out of blue jelly. Which is the most common.

You can just light a campfire and repeatedly drop any kind of chu jelly on it, they'll all transform into fire chu jelly. It was instant in BotW and seems to take a tiny moment in TotK, but it's still pretty handy

plain Chuchu jelly has the same functionally as a splash fruit - gets enemies and objects wet. you can hit it to cool off in hot or volcanic zones, or to increase your attack power with Zora Weapons (due to the Water Warrior weapon ability). If you shoot it at an enemy, then perform an electrical attack, you get AoE electricity. you'll also want either plain Chuchu jelly or splash fruit for the Zora questline.

@@jonadol Yeah, you fuse gemstones to them and if you swing/throw them, the gemstone's respective element shoots out as projectiles. They serve the same function as the Blizzard/Meteor/Thunderstorm Rods from BotW.

Another tip for my fellow Lynel hunters that you might already know: There is a Lynel in the depths under almost every stable. Granted they are armoured so come stacked with bomb flowers or any kind of stone breaking weapon Another nice perk is that 4 banana 1 monster extract recipe works the same as BotW

also: a battle talus will only notice you if the bokoblins on top do. if you sneak up, get rid of an archer or two before they spot you, you can literally just slowly walk up to the talus out of view of the archers and ascend onto the structure while the talus is still in sleep mode. it does notice you if the archers spot you or you hit the weak point. also, the talus will forget that you are there if the bokos don’t see you anymore.

fusing a glider to a shield will make your shield jump high enough to go into bullet time for a moment from a flat surface. and unlike a bomb or spring, it’s reusable. also, since you can fuse bombs to weapons, long throw throwing spears actually have a use now

I think cannons have more explosive power and aoe than bombs. if you fuse them to weapons instead, you won't throw the whole weapon but rather be able to aim the cannon. Or you could make a movable cannon you don't have to waste durability, only battery that you can recharge.

Puffshrooms also work on the SCARY HANDS, if they're already grabbing you that will still happen but if you keep tossing them down as the fog fades you can just smack then all down without ever getting touched (other than by their gloom puddle)!

It was my first (and until now, thankfully, only) encounter with them, so I panicked and ran all the way back up, but then I slowly went back and noticed they can't even get up that Link-sized ledge.

The current range feels way too short and I feel like I'm constantly fighting it, and forget trying to raise up a part you want that has even something light on top of it. Here's one for consideration on your next video, perhaps! I discovered quite by accident, when dropping from a sky island that you can follow dragons into chasm pits. I was able to float above Farosh for several minutes while he slowly flew around the Depths, also learning that if you quickly release and then re-engage the paraglider, your stamina replenishes. Even better than that, I accidentally landed on top of the dragon. Guess what? You can RIDE them now. Make sure you walk around... there might be things you can collect that are very useful to Fuse with. 😊

@@brummelbar sure! If you are floating above a dragon using their updraft, release the glider and then quickly re-engage it. When I did that, my stamina would bounce back up to full every time.

4:45 This also comes in handy in an area where the map is malfunctioning. The surface layer goes static, but the sky and depths layers still work. If you know where your destination is you can preset a pin before entering that area and, since pins mark that spot on every layer, you can switch to another layer and follow the pin to keep from getting turned around.

it's somewhat important to note that drawing a bow in mid-air does deplete stamina when not doing anything with it, but it does so extremely slowly

A very minor one I've found nice, but haven't seen mentioned too much is that when you are diving into a chasm, you can drop a brightbloom while falling to see the terrain of where you'll land in advance. As long as you don't accelerate too much the brightbloom falls faster than you.

An important tip about rock octorok weapon repair service: they wont fix magic wands or amiibo weapons... unless you fuse them to another weapon as the *material*, instead of the base. Taking the weapon back to pelison and breaking it down will then give you the fully repaired weapon back. (ie: it wont repair a dusk bow, but if you stick a dusk bow to a shield and then have it eat the shield, the dusk bow will get repaired because it's being used as the material)

You can glue things to venisons with the ultrahand. You can also attach them to arrows. You can shoot meat arrows at koroks or shrine stones from the place where they need to go to, and then revert the venison's path with an object attached to instantly solve many puzzles

To add on to the Puffshroom section, the Forest Dweller set has the Fuse Recycling perk, Bursting materials fused to the weapon can be reused again and again, fuse a Puffshroom to it, and you have one of the most broken weapons in the game, giving you an unlimited supply of Puffshrooms until the weapon breaks and even then, you can just repair it.

Return to the starter island forge whenever you have a free moment, they only seem to sell a certain amount at a time and this can slow down energy cell progression. Get the travellers medallion and miners top as soon as possible Head to the rito newspaper asap to start that quest to save time returning to locations later, you can start this without having to do the rito main quest line When you find a dispenser on a sky island, make sure you use it enough times that the map shows all 4 items it dispenses

With the last tip, not every dispenser has 4 items, at least not all the time. For example, one if the dispensers in the tutorial area dispenses _only_ wings during that first visit to the area. General tip there is that if you throw in 5 charges and only get one type of item back, don't waste charges there trying to expand it's catalogue unless you've found all the other dispensers' full lists and are still missing items.

Using a spring on a shield to jump higher isnt really that great since you only get one use, in my opinion. It is great for repelling enemies. If an enemy attacks your spring shield, itll launch them back giving you some space. It doesnt break after being used the first time, either

Puffshrooms have been so useful for big monster battles such as those at Fort Hateno and Lurelin village. Especially since I’m at a point where stronger enemies are coming into play and my armour hasn’t been upgraded yet. Throwing them is also a lot less time consuming than just constantly fusing it to my shields.

Don't know if it's been mentioned yet but if you're in the depths and don't know where a lightroot is so you can light the area just switch the map to the surface and look for a shrine youve done already. The lightroots and shrines are connected so it's an easy way to find them in the depths. So when you put a pin where the shrine is on the depths map all you need to do is go there

It was mentioned in the first video, but it's also important to note that not every shrine has a lightroot attached. However every lightroot *does* have a shrine attached. So finding a lightroot you can go to the surface map and mark that spot cuz there will definitely be a shrine there.

Another Tip: If you want to farm Armored Porgy or Might porgy, just fly around coasts near Cape Cresia during day. Look for flocks of seagulls circling above sea water. They are right above big fish-schools that usually contain 30fish. One arrow fused with electric material and you can easily pick them up.

For the rock octorocks, you don't have to wait until they spit your weapon out. Take aim while they're recovering your weapon's durability and when it sparkles (indicating that it has restored your weapon durability) loose your arrow. He'll drop the restored weapon.

I think that totk takes place in a 4th timeline, it takes place in the timelines that link defeated demise in the past and rather than the main timeline were demise was killed due to link and zeldas wish, I think this is a logical way of linking botw and totk to the rest of the zelda timeline(this also explains the retelling of oot and explains why rauru doesn't know of any hero or reincarnation due to demise curse being carried to a different timeline with the sws link

Ultrahand is so good for finding hidden things too, sometimes things are hidden by the fog or grass etc. and it makes it hard to see what is an object and what's the environment but ultrahand makes all the pickable things glow :D (those damn hyrulean herbs are so hard to spot)

As with the first game, there's areas of Hyrule that're so hot that they'll cause Link to lose health or even just catch fire -- but now, once you unlock the ability to shroud yourself in a water shield, you've got an emergency cool-down tool that even works in lava caves!

It couldn’t hurt to also mention the ultrahand + recall cheese you can pull to move objects across gaps or upward distances you weren’t meant to be able to. It solves a lot of puzzles in a lot of ways, and you can also fuse this with ascend to do some really crazy things like bypassing entire puzzles later on.

Better than ultrahand + recall cheese is fuse + ultrahand + recall cheese: fire an arrow with a droppable item fused (most foods count), and you can attach stuff to said droppable item, then recall them (with the attached item) right back.

Yes. It wouldn't be the first time that the Translation Team messed up (see Ravali's character as a whole). The bed in that house is one of the few beds Link can sleep in for free. The other that I know of is the shelter one. Why would Zelda need a secret well to get away if she lives alone? And her secret well has Link's hair band....for no reason. She also plans to give him new armor as a secret gift.

Recall is useful, though one can also pull a flux construct apart using ultrahand; pull away enough regular blocks and the flux construct will fall apart, pull away the weak-point block and the construct will immediately fall apart. I used ultrahand to defeat a Flux Construct III that I was definitely not prepared for (I was completing the maze in the Hebra region).

If you've got the resources, 2 explosive hits in (relatively) quick succession will break it apart as well. If you've got bomb flowers or cannons to spare it's quicker than using recall during the platform configuration, and is a good alternative to trying to use ultrahand on the "big cube" form, especially when fighting a Mk. 3

If you encounter gloom hands and are too weak to fight them, climb up on a wall right outside their reach and wait a while. They'll "die", and even drop some loot. (don't know if, or why, this is intended or a bug)

one of my favorite strategies ive figured out is attaching a puffshroom to a forest dwellers spear, which has a special aspect to it that makes it so consumable fuse attachments dont get used up, so it basically gives you an infinite puffshroom which you can use to super easily take out entire enemy camps with sneakstrikes

As an additional note for the Rock Octorock segment: it's not just melee weapons this works on. It also works on bows, and more importantly, shields. Which means the Hylian shield. For everyone that got it at the start of the game, it is fairly likely that it'll break at least once by the end of the game. More if yu regularly use it as a base for Zonai stuff or surf on it a lot. But instead of paying the full 3k rupees to replace it like in BotW, these guys will repair its massive durability for free *and* give it a buff. Like, say, *more* durability up. Also if yu feed a multi-shot Lynel bow to them and get attack up out of it, yu're pretty much set for life for a good bow now. An additional warning though: this doesn't work on amiibo weapons. It won't repair that almost broken Biggoron Sword yu got from OoT Link. But if yu find an amiibo weapon in the wild (via a chest), that non-amiibo version *can* be repaired.

As an addition, slight spoiler warning for things in the depths. Once you received an amiibo weapon/armour once, you can buy a replacement with poes from the statues. So you can replace those items easily.

Also good to note is something I saw someone else mention - amiibo weapons CAN be fixed if they're *material* for a non-amiibo weapon. So say you attach your amiibo sword to a sword you picked up in the overworld - it'll fix BOTH. Decent workaround for the amiibo weapons lol

Something to note about the octorocks is that the don't fix every weapon. From what I can tell, it won't fix amiibo weapons or fully wood weapons.

@Zeltik Yea, tried tossing them a Great Eagle Bow and Demon King's Bow, spat it out without doing anything, but then proceeded to give the Royal Bow a polish and buff. Also spat out a Biggoron Sword without doing anything, so I figure it doesn't do Amiibo weapons. It doesn't seem to care as long as the amiibo weapon isn't the base of a fused weapon though.

There is a trick to fixing them though, but more legwork involved: any materials attached to a valid weapon/shield will also be fixed, and there's this convenient goron child that lets you detach fused materials.

I experienced first hand just how busted the Puffshrooms were today when I accidentally ran up on a gang of Silver enemies in the depths. I figured then was as good a time as any to drop a smoke bomb. I didn't realize how big that cloud was going to be and how long it would stick around. Needless to say, I ended up Sneak Striking the entire squad to death in only a few Puffs. Super useful in a bind.
