The game might be good on paper, but it has way too many problems to be called a "Masterpiece"

The Ultrahand engine may be impreasive, but the game never gives you any reason to use it to it's fullest potential. I feel like the developers used all their time on that engine and rushed everything else

My headcanon has been that Link, on his death throes, tried to return to the Kokiri as his last wish before death, but he either: -Became a Stalphos thanks to the Forest's curse, but due to his power, he truly never became one completely. -He died while trying to return to his old home, but the Kokiri, to honor him, buried his corpse at the shade of the Great Tree. While I always believed the former, it all seems a mixture of the two.

So.... from what I heard, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was original meant to have an all new sequel like The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but instead, Nintendo deceits to make a Spin-Off Side Game that is considered as a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess..... While it may not be as much of a slap-in-the-face as say, Mega Man X getting also screwed over by a Spin-Off game that is basically are-releases of a game from a Mobile Devise after a long hiatus since Mega Man X8, and although The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess may not be my favorite Zelda game, I must ask.... what was Nintnedo thinking?

Personally, I always interpreted it as the chart being guarded by the spirits, intentionally awaiting the hero. Would still fit with the Gerudo, especially since we see in other games that they've "repented" and turned against Ganondorf. Possibly also the Sheikah (though I like to believe one or more of the pirates is descended from the Sheikah. Speaking of porates' lineage, have you tackled Jolene and her sister from Phantom Hourglass yet? I'm pretty sure they're Gerudo. Perhaps a flooded Termina's version of them. Also

Darunia actually tries to help Link during the fight with Volvagia by dropping boulders on the dragon's head. I guess whether or not he would be alive at that point is debatable though.

Back in the day shortly before Crossbow Training came out somebody posted a hoax featuring the cover art they had somehow gotten ahold of minus the title of the game on an old fan forum stating it was art from an upcoming Directors Cut of Twilight princess featuring new and cut content like a Crossbow. They also claimed that if it did well it could end up giving us a sequel. I was incredibly excited and waited patiently for it to come out, I remember the feeling of hearing that Gamestop had gotten "A new Zelda game" and running down and seeing this, it felt off immediately but I somehow gaslit myself into thinking it might just be a weird cover that only showcased some new content. That hoax made Link's Crossbow Training one of the biggest disappointments of my time in gaming. I was so furious I barely touched my Wii from then on and couldn't replay Twilight Princess for years. Naturally that was my first experience with video game leak hoaxes. I can only imagine how upset child me would've been If I learned this was created at the expense of the actual sequel.

I remember sitting by the screen in pure awe as ganon formed in front of me in OOT, Slashing away the master sword in a desperate bid to weaken link enough to finally kill him. without the sword, what could he possibly do? after I eventually stole back the blade, Watching as link delivered the final blow, slashing the sword straight through his skull. it was awesome. I still think about that today

While I do agree that there are only three as of yet unaccounted for Links, I must dispute the idea that SS Link is Hylia's Chosen Hero through time travel shenanigans; instead I submit to you that Hylia's Chosen Hero is the Ancient Hero from BotW/TotK: first off, and correct me if I'm wrong, but when Link went back in time to fight Demise, he did so chasing Ghirahim, who took Zelda to the past to break the seal on the Demon King's prison, but the story of Hylia's Chosen Hero suggests his fight against the Demon King was the reason the Bringer of Demise was imprisoned in the first place, second, Demise says he's shocked that a *human* was brave enough to stand up to him, but in TotK, it's shown through the Ancient Hero's Aspect that the Ancient hero was some kind of Hylian/Zonai hybrid.

What I want to know is how this fits into the reincarnations of Zelda and ganondorf through all the other games. It doesn't seem to make sense that Zelda is a dragon and ganondorf is undying all this time while still having reincarnations

I agree with your assessment of the Goron Mines, especially since it had an iron Boots focus, which were half-used for specific things in the Wind Temple. If I had to guess, the stovepipe "dungeon" would have been fire AND ice-themed, with valves, where you utilize the Iron Boots to break through ice, walk through vents, and possibly magnet walls, though that seems like too much for one dungeon. Maybe that's where the Ancient Cistern's water pipe redirection would come in. Water to heat or cool certain parts of the level.

I’m happy with it and actually want more spin offs like this one. Zelda should be (and is) more than just its primary entries. Plus, had a sequel been released, we may not have gotten Skyward Sword.

The fundamental problem with the complaints of zelda fans is that what a lot of people are asking for is outdated game design. The game sold 20 million copies, this video has a million views. Even if everyone commented that's 5% of everyone who bought this game. What I think people don't understand is how Nintendo has to maintain modern game mechanics/hooks if they want to remain relevant. Tears of the Kingdom is totally influenced by games like Minecraft and Fortnite with the building mechanics and repetitive design. No wonder it sold so well. People need to realize that the "Ocarina of Time" style of game no longer exists in the mainstream. That style is more found in indie Metroidvania games where you explore a linear dungeon type area and can't progress until you find an item that will let you. Dark Souls was also inspired by early Zelda. Nintendo is both influential and influenced, it's actually amazing to see whether your die hard opinion of the game is that you love it or hate it you cannot deny the influences of Tears. The NEXT "Zelda" game is not going back to the old formula, if it DOES become linear again it'll most likely take inspiration from games like The Last of Us. It's interesting to see people in their own bubbles where people who play Nintendo are not to hot on Tears but people who don't are blown away. People have to consider gaming as a whole and the context of when this game came out. THAT's all I gotta say because I keep seeing people say they want the "old" Zelda back. Go on Steam and play some indie games because that's the only place you're going to get an experience like that nowadays.

1:24:38 i legitimately dont Understand the purpose of the new sages. Like if you're gonna AID the swords man, then its time to strike monsters with your own abilities. But apparently not because now link has to do everything that they could do on their own just for a stone. Clearly they just walk around watching a man risk his life for your race, and you suddenly obtain a stone by doing absolutely nothing. The creators should've been using the earlier concept of the sages. Because the new ones clearly doesn't want to be their own character and Savior. Edit: i don't wanna throw shade or any hate, i genuinely like the game snd support it, but there should just be some major chnsges in my opinion

I'm convinced that the Ghost Ship is one of the two planned full-length dungeons that got scrapped for time in Wind Waker's development. Around the time Wind Waker HD was released, an interviewer asked Aonuma if they were going to include the scrapped dungeons in the HD remake and he told them no, on the basis that the concepts for those dungeons have been used in other Zelda games since then. Between Phantom Hourglass's ghost ship and Skyward Sword's sandship dungeons, I think it's safe to say that the Zelda team had been wanting to make a dungeon aboard a ship but didn't have the opportunity to do so in Wind Waker.

It didn't launch simultaneously. The Wii mirror flip launched on November 19, 2006. The GameCube version launched THREE WEEKS LATER on December 12, 2006. I know because I had to wait because no 16 year old has 300 dollars to drop on a game system. Also, Nintendo went ON RECORD to say they didn't want consumers (ie idiots) to be confused between the two games.

But the Kokiri and the Koroks are actually the same-they just took different shapes to match their surroundings. In Ocarina of Time, the Kokiri appeared as children, likely to reflect Link's form and make him feel comfortable growing up among them. Their form was probably influenced by the forest environment and their role as protectors of the woods. Later, in The Wind Waker, they evolved into Koroks to adapt to the Great Sea. Their plant-like forms allowed them to travel and spread vegetation across the islands, showing how their appearance changes based on their purpose and surroundings. It’s not that they fundamentally changed; they just adapted to continue serving their role in a new world.

7:08 it doesn't make sense that Impa is an old lady in this game yet King Rhoam is in this game and alive.. It just doesn't add up that link is awake either.. Because echoes of wisdom doesn't take place after botw nor totk, it has to be somewhere in the Age of Calamity timeline
