Sticks are easy but it's just two emeralds per stack, so it's kinda slow because of the cooldown, similar with string. Having an iron farm gets you emeralds so much faster unless you have 100000 villagers

Sticks is a dead easy way to get emeralds. Bamboo farm and you can lead them directly to your furnaces for smelting that never runs out of fuel. And the surplus can be turned into sticks for emeralds and planks.

You can also add pumpkin and watermelon as trades with farmer if you have their auto farms. Building them might take a bit effort (since you need 40 observers per farm), but you practically have infinite supply of pumpkin and watermelons after finishing.

A better trade than the Librarian-Cleric trade is a Librarian-Cartographer one. You can get cartographers down to 4 glass panes for an emerald I believe and since 6 glass blocks makes 16 panes, thats much more efficient for infinite emeralds.

Selling glass panes to cartographers is more profitable than selling bottles to clerics. Selling bottles gives a 33% profit while glass panes gives a 113% profit. Pumpkins and melons are also great sales. Cured villagers will give one emerald for 1 pumpkin or melon.

The easiest way Ive found to get infinite emeralds is by selling string. Just make a string duper (which is pretty easy to build even in a world start) and get fisherman villagers, they will trade string for emeralds. Bad thing is dupers usually dont work in servers but if you are playing singlepayer or hosted world It should work.

Thank God over here on bedrock we can still do the stonks trading where you do everything for practically one emerald. All you have to do is cure the villagers one time and then build your trading halt so that all of the villagers are within 16 blocks of an active zombie spawner. If you do this the bookshelf trades are only two emeralds and it takes two books to get one emerald in return. Also makes everything else mi cheaper as well. If you add the hero of the village effect on top of this everything goes back down to one emerald including all enchantment books

That's what I did. Built an underground trading hall near my zombie farm(In BE it can produce zombie villagers too). They give discounts not only from a cure, but also witnessing a cure. There are more than 20 of them though. Why aren't they spawning golems?

@@brokenstarfury4895 must have at least seven beds placed within 50 blocks of the villagers for them to consider it a village for them to start spawning iron golems 👍. Also a lot of times unblock the spawning mechanics like to be stubborn so you have to place down a bell as well.

5:10 Last night beat the dragon, searched two cities for two sets of wings. Got home from end, set up three villagers from my breeder into their spots to make librarians . Got Unbreaking 3 and mending each costing me a bit less than ~20 emeralds each. After a few rerolls i got the efficiency 5 book from the third librarian, except this one is a pricey 48 emeralds and a book for an efficiency 5 book. Im looking to get this villager cured during my next login. If i can half his prices I'll accept efficiency 5 for a bit over 20 emeralds. Thats a fair deal to me. Edit Ive been using a dungeon for XP gearing up for that dragon fight but with my new unlocked books it looks like i will be building shulkercrafts giant mob grinder in the ocean near my base. This will be ideal for healing my tools after I get home and sort items after a long terraforming session. Im still looking for wither skulls with my max sword so i can really start to streamline some awesome projects in the future come my beacon is finished.

the cheapest way to get emeralds is by trading sticks with the fletcher. when i start a world my first priority is getting potion of weakness and golden apples. you zombify the fletcher again and again until you get 1 emerald for 1 stick. go to a jungle biome get tons of logs and you have unlimited emeralds. i have more than 2 million emeralds in my survival world (i have no life) you can also install falling tree mod to get wood as fast as possible. you can also install morevillagers mod and get forestry villager and get unlimited wood from the villager. you just have to get 1k wood to start with. then you trade 64 emeralds for 6 or 7 stacks of logs.

When I think of it, the way trading currently works in vanilla minecraft is functionally almost identical to this mod called Equivalent Exchange that goes all the way back to beta minecraft. In that mod you can "sell" almost any item for a currency, then use that currency to buy any item you want if you have enough of it, so for instance 1 iron could give you 100 currency that you then can buy 4 strings for. In current minecraft, you can trade almost any farmable item into emeralds, and use the emeralds to buy almost any item you might want. Very different approaches, but the outcome is eerily similar. I like it though, this was a mod that sought to fix you having an overflow of useless items late game, which is an eventuality in Minecraft if you play long enough. Now every item has a value even when you dont need them anymore.

When you mentioned the armorer and having several of them, I too started noticing this with my Fletcher and farmer villagers. I have dozens of these villagers in my world because some of them or most of them are always on cooldown from trading. I should very be on my way to getting emerald blocks soon. Trying to make a full beacon out of it is tedious and I'm considering an iron farm for iron beacon instead. Edit Yeah I didnt really wanna make an iron farm but at this point I should and id be set only with enough iron for forever but enough emeralds for my beacon. The iron for emerald trade is a very very strong one with the iron farm or even just someone who fortunes up alot of iron in mining trips.

I still think the best trades for emeralds is quid ink. Squid farms are easy to make and with afk session. You can stock pile. You trade with librarians which will already have a lot of. It is also a very fast and cheap way to level up librarians because the trades always progress there level up a lot.

I prefer butchers. Raw chicken farms are easy to build. Raw porkchop from hoglin farm in the nether. Coal from the amazing wither skeleton farm I have, and sweet berries are also easily farmed. If I had a passive mob farm then raw mutton and beef could also be traded. I get so many emeralds from these butchers. Fletchers are also good for their stick, string, and feathers trade.

The easiest way to get infinite emeralds is to build a pumpkin farm. It’s very simple, so it won’t take much time to build. Farmers sell 1 emerald for 6 pumpkins on 2nd trading level (not always, so farmers can sell pumpkin pies instead of emeralds). To make villager sell 1 emerald for 1 pumpkin, you need just cure him only 1 time. So, it works on 1.21 and above. The main advantage of this method is that you don’t need to dupe strings, books and etc. Just AFK and relax. P.S. Of course you can build the same farm, but fill it with melons. Every farmer sells 1 emerald for 6 melons on 3rd trading level if I’m not mistaking. So you can sell both melons and pumpkins and get 24 emeralds per 1 villager. But I advise you to build some melon farms like addition, not like main source of emeralds, cuz when piston pushes 1 melon, it drops about 3-5 melon slices (about 0.4 emerald per melon). But when piston pushes a pumpkin. it drops 1 pumpkin block (1 emerald). And you need a crafter for melon farm, so it will be a bit harder to build. P.S. 2. Bonus. Every farmer sells you 3 golden carrots for 3 emeralds (or for 1 emerald if villager was cured). So you will Berger run out of food :)

Yes, i don't like the implications of intentionally exposing a villager to a zombie so you can cure it. So i don't do that. The pumpkin and melon trades are really useful because you get a lot of emeralds for a modest number of stacks of stuff -- so you don't need to make a ton of trips and spend a lot of time trading. And fruit farms are cheap and easy to build.
