Sedge, you sold me on the Grex P635L in your previous video and I have to say, it's awesome. I don't have much use for nailers, but I do have a Max 18ga brad nailer and that's a great unit. I'd been holding off on a micro pinner because those seem to be a bit on delicate side. Seeing your video pushed me towards the Grex. Fantastic unit. First try, without any fiddling with air pressure and it was perfectly sinking pins. Thank you!

Mornin' Sedge. Nice list of things you don't see on everyone else's "must-have" list. One recommendation on dead blow is to get one with changeable faces of different hardness. Easy to have one face for more delicate assembly to resist temptation of just using the general purpose harder one because it's within reach. And thanks for the heads up on the card scraper burnisher. Never seen that. Looks awesome.

Hey Sedge, the Diamond on a standard tape is referred to as the “Diamond method” for framing. The first Diamond is found at 19-3/16” and the next one is found at 38-3/8” and so on. I was told years ago it was a method use in the Midwest in many places for standard framing layouts.

A shop brush is much better then blowing dust off. Vix bits are wonderful. I add some bigger lettering on them Deadblow hammers are great. Even from Harbor Freight. FastCap Yellow tape measures are awesome. I use a 2B lead in my Pentel's Much darker. Got some 6x30mm Domino's from Trend. Great for cabinets. No adjusting for using 6mm Dominonow. Purchased some 3/8" bases for clamps by Miles craft. Great for my MFT/3, my folding DeWalt work tables with 3/4" holes, and my drill press table that I put 20mm holes in.

That Camelia oil dauber is a 21st Century version of Paul Sellars "rag-in-a-can" and is genius. I've used .9mm pencils for years but that metal Pentel GraphGear 1000 is a game changer. The one thing you didn't mention but I see you use all the time is a good try square, it doesn't have to be a Woodpecker but you need a good one.

I'm a big fan of camellia oil. I've been using it for years on my planes, chisels and any other bare steel or iron tool and it really does work to keep rust at bay. The applicator is called an abura tsubo....I made my own out of a small tin with a screw top and a rolled up cotton cloth. The bench brush is excellent too...get one with natural fibre bristles like horse hair. They don't make so much static as artificial bristles and are easier to shake out.

I have several of the fastcap tape measures. However I am always underwhelmed with the durability of them. Tapes break regularly and the rubber grips tear and come off rather quickly. I wish they were higher quality. I'd pay more for a longer lasting product.
