Great information. I can also confirm as some who’s repaired electronics for 35+ years…ESD is VERY real. Grounding mats have always been mandatory for my companies. Not using proper grounding leads to what we (industry technicians with experience) call walking dead…or a circuit board with static damage that appears to be working but will have intermittent issues ultimately leading to total failure. Keep beating that drum!!

I used to stuff boards long before micro solder was the modern way we worked on a grounding Mats, and all our tables where grounded, we also had touch the door frame sighns posted on every door, so I cant imagine it would be safe to work on smaller components where the parts are much easier to make contact with one another, and probably more sensitive to load. definitely back you on grounding.

So I have the big Kaisi board. What do you keep yours in? And one more question; what exactly is you mindset like when you build PARTS inventory? I have nothing and basically order on demand which would be inconvenient if I got popular.
@CellBotics

Hey!!! So we have metal cases we carry when mobile you can get them on Ebay, also for parts, we always say spend on marketing and build parts as you see demand come through, with the right vendor you can do overnight parts ... you might benefit from signing up and working with us and the RFA, Brian Ahern is amazing! check it out at RFAMembers.com

Fluke are excellent meters, however they are pricey, UNI-T makes good meters at a lower price and they work juts as good.

You don’t think that those suction cuffs are a personal preference? I find them gimmicky and just to be something extra to your setup..haven’t been doing stuff like this for long and have yet to touch an Apple device, so you would probably have better knowledge. I am just starting. I have most of the tools but I’m trying to simplify things better so that I can focus on organizing screws better. Love the video. Thank you for the links. A the one next to, “Working from your car?” is a dead link when I click on it.

People who says static don't affect phones knows nothing about static, I damaged chips through static already,, why do they think some phone parts comes in static protection packaging also? Even charging ports etc comes in static protection packaging, phone and tablet chips are super tiny and it takes a very little amount of static to damage it, you may not always see the damage right away but the thing can fail weeks or even months after being zapped by static....but these days, everybody is a technician and everybody feels they knows everything about electronics 🙄
