What about the Fairy circles in the grass lands? Where there is a circle that nothing will grow in. A few times they thought they knew what caused them. Only to find they don't know what causes them, the last I hear.

Canadian here, I've seen all types of snow fall, and when fluffy white snowflakes fall you can see various shapes and patterns.

I've seen plenty of snow too. Falling snow is mesmerizing! And plenty of their crystal structures when they land on any surface. You don't need a magnifying glass to see the patterns, although they would be fascinating through one.
