I went to school the next day and couldn't even tell my buddies he had died becausei had choked up so damn much. It was and still is the worst tragedy in my lifetime. Personally met and hungout with Sean Taylor.... was very approachable, signed everything we had year after year at Training Camps in Asburn VA.... very humble... respectful and quite honestly....a pleasure to be around and talk to. I met Escobar at the hotel right after the game at Stanford stadium in 1994. I was working for a law enforcement agency and was assigned to their team as an escort and security. He was sitting on a curb near the team bus by himself. It was at the Stanford Park Hotel in Menlo Park, California. I did not realize what had happened until another player advised me he had scored a goal for the American team. Very sad story.

In the Chicago area (and in the Midwest in general) he was as big as Michael Jordan when he was still in high school! Plus, he had the potential of being the biggest name out of all of them, no disrespect to the other names mentioned. I believe those are the only two times that has happened in the history of North American professional sports. Philadelphia Phillies 3rd baseman Mike Schmidt was voted as a member of the National team for the 1989 MLB all star game in San Diego even though he had officially retired. In The Sean Taylor incident one of the men involved had seen him give his cousin or niece receive a large sum of cash for her birthday and told his friends. They decided to rob Sean at his house since they knew where he lived and decided to rob the place while his team would be playing out of town hoping no one was home, unaware that Taylor had gotten injured recently. While his house was being robbed Sean heard something in his home and decided to investigate with a machete and stumbled across a man inside with a shotgun. When he saw Sean the man panicked and fired killing him (I know there was a little more to the story but that’s all I could remember without watching the documentary which is honestly really Sad)

Sean Taylor was a good friend of mine & had a lot going 4 himself, his murder was a heartbreak 2 folks of the DMV. He is surely missed out here & by the football team
