I met Escobar at the hotel right after the game at Stanford stadium in 1994. I was working for a law enforcement agency and was assigned to their team as an escort and security. He was sitting on a curb near the team bus by himself. It was at the Stanford Park Hotel in Menlo Park, California. I did not realize what had happened until another player advised me he had scored a goal for the American team. Very sad story.

In The Sean Taylor incident one of the men involved had seen him give his cousin or niece receive a large sum of cash for her birthday and told his friends. They decided to rob Sean at his house since they knew where he lived and decided to rob the place while his team would be playing out of town hoping no one was home, unaware that Taylor had gotten injured recently. While his house was being robbed Sean heard something in his home and decided to investigate with a machete and stumbled across a man inside with a shotgun. When he saw Sean the man panicked and fired killing him (I know there was a little more to the story but that’s all I could remember without watching the documentary which is honestly really Sad)

You have my ultimate respect for making that comment about Sean because I've been a Redskins fan since'72 and I despise the Cowboys. Met and talked to Sean numerous times at Training Camps.... he signed everything we had year after year, he was my favorite player all time. His Father Pedro signed and inscribed a special edition book about Sean for me as well. Point is, none of that matters, I was just shocked at your post and wanted to let ya know regardless of what team you like, even if it is the damn Cowboys, you made a friend today brother!

It's sad to see anyone die let alone murdered. Sean Taylor was a tremendous football player straight of the U!!! Fantastic in college a beast in training with the Washington Redskins. Had HOF written on him from the get go!!!!!!!!!! The NFL lost a Great One and a Legend to be.

Sean Taylor wasn't killed outside of his home.....he was shot in his leg and the bullet hit an artery while he was inside. One of the greatest Redskins of all time!!! #HTTR #21 #36 #RIPSeanTaylor

Sean Taylor should have been number one because the Redskins went out there with only 10 players on the field and they all remember him today still and they will always remember him as the greatest free safety of all time
