I grew up not celebrating anything, I still don't celebrate most things. So I'm not good at giving gifts, but last year I made a digital drawing for someone, a few Discord emotes for someone. I'm not in an art phase, so I'm probably not going to gift drawings this year, but I'm in a writing phase. So I will probably just tell the people I love how wonderful they are and in what specific ways they've made my life better and more joyful. Oh oh, one of the best gift I've ever given was to one of my nephews, it was just handwritten vouchers for his 'favorite meal', 'homemade brownies', 'we go see a movie'. He loved it so much, I highly recommend.

Donations to a cause close to their heart. Many NGOs will actually offer a certificate or similar which can be personalised to say that a donation was made on the gift recipient's behalf towards that organisation. If the organisation doesn't do certificates, you can always just write a card that says you donated. If you know that person is passionate about a specific cause, they will be delighted with that as a gift. Totally clutter free and it makes a difference.

So because this is an item, some people may not considerate clutter-free, but considering it can be used to replace all the picture frames you have around your house, I think it might be awesome. An electronic picture frame that downloads pictures via the web and email automatically. This is especially useful for family members that have a hard time getting physical pictures of the grandkids for example. And it helps prevent you from needing to send physical copies to those who are less electronically literate. These types of frames allow you to set up one account with the frame, and then people can send all their photos to the email address on file and they will automatically appear on Grandma's picture frame

What's at the top of my own clutter free wish list?:A year's membership to the Royal Ontario Museum. ROM admission quickly adds up to mega expensive if you go as often as I'd like to. Membership allows me to take a guest with me, and offers other benefits as well. A real high point was many years ago when the treasures from Pharaoh Tutankamun's tomb were in display at the Art Gallery of Ontario. Maybe this, or a theatre subscription, could go under a different category, but a gift like that would mean so much to someone who can't afford it on their own.

Some really good ideas on this. I’ve felt so uninspired this year walking around the shops looking as the same old stuff that gets repackaged every year. I went for a lot of edible products in the end but will try some of these next year and for birthdays!

I'm doing the wreath for my 83 year old mom. 😊 THANKS YOU JUST MADE MY DAY. NO more racking my brain. I give them to her every year with postage stamps usually on a dollar tree Christmas tree but the wreath is a change of pace. Did the car detail for mothers day she loved it.

I am a fellow Canadian and I love that you called the ball(s) the way you see it. Lol But I will stick to the apple fritters. Haha

I had my ever so sarcastic answer ready “Nothing but love and best wishes.” Is the no clutter gift but you knocked that right out of the park. Brilliant ideas! Loved the snowman gift, cash box, exchange vouchers, and the reminder of the older ideas too. Please forgive my assumptions. Never too old to learn.🇦🇺💚🌲💚🇦🇺

Genius ideas Cas. I am loving these ideas. I would only add making a donation to a worthy cause in the person's name. Have a great day and for sharing these great ideas. Blessings - Judith 🎵🎭

My sisters and I now make a donation or adopt a family to buy for. I donate an amount to Sacred Heart Church in Camden, NJ to buy Christmas dinner baskets for 5 families. I also like the Heifer Fund

I scrapbook and have been making them for my sister and her husband this year since I'm caught up. It took care of 2 birthdays and will for this Christmas when I pick up more pictures to work on in 2022.

Again it’s not clutter free, but our friends and I love those murder mystery evenings that come in a box. You get the invites, recipes/menu, ideas for decor etc. Once you’ve had the evening you can pass it on to friends, family or the thrift store (or for us in the UK, charity shop). They’re also doing escape rooms in a box, we will have to try those. The point is it’s up to the recipient how fast it goes out of their house, mind you I guess all gifts are a bit like that 😬

So many great ideas! Thank you! My siblings and I all went in together to get my mom and stepdad two of those tourist passes one year, for the area in which they live. They were able to go to different venues throughout the year that they might not have otherwise spent their own money to go to. For birthdays for the grandkids, they in turn take each child out for an activity and a meal, like to the aquarium or a trampoline park or a painting class, and then out for dinner or lunch. My kids look forward to their day out every year. My mom takes a few pictures and adds them to a birthday book she bought for each kid to keep throughout the year to remember those times.

My lovely sister in law takes my daughter to her place to bake Christmas goodies for an afternoon. They both have a great time and have made lots of memories over the years. She also takes the kids out for a special lunch for their birthday. My kids are teens and young adults now and they still love this so much more than a gift.
