I'm a young looking 67 yr old woman who for some strange reason, recently fell in love with the patchouli scent. I've also discovered Niche perfumes and have started buying the 5 ml and 9 ml samples of expensive niche perfumes on "ScentSplit". I could never afford a bottle of these perfumes, so it's really nice to sample them and smell like I have money 😁. Currently I'm loving and wearing " Intricant Patchouli" by Pierre Guillaume Paris. I have many other niche perfumes in sample size and another beauty of a scent is "Love Shot" by Ex Nihilio. Just finished that 5ml sample. I loved it. I also have: Lust in Paradise by Ex Nihilio Fleur Narcotique by Ex Nihilio Bouquet Massai by Pierre Guillaume (beautiful!) Santal Complet by Fragrance Du Bois Essence of Patchouli by Perris Monte Carlo (beautiful) Rose Arabia by Widian (very soft) L'Eau de Circe by Pierre Guillaume (I hate this) Citizen X by Ex Nihilio (pretty nice) I had others but since used them and moved on. Not all above have patchouli. They were blindly picked because I also love peony and roses. Thank you for the video. I already ordered "Molecule 01 + Patchouli"

Dark is Night is one of my favorite patchouli fragrances! The travel spray is in my purse right now. My other patchouli loves are Jimmy Choo by Jimmy Choo and Jessica Simpson Fancy Nights (the latter being sadly discontinued). All three show slightly different sides of patchouli's personality! It’s my go to when I need ‘calm’ & I’ve just reached for the oil which can be overbearing to some people. I need to lift & get a classie perfume. I really like Lord of Misrule but admit that the pepper blast is something to tolerate until that syrupy patchouli starts shining! Also love my Cafe Rose dupe from Alexandria, called Dark Pleasure. just here in support of Patchouli Paris, ha! I had no idea was going to love it as much as I do. I smelled at first at the NM Galleria in Houston. Lost my mind. Put it on my list and finally got it for my birthday/law school grad gift to myself. I love it. I've had the Molecule Patchouli on my list for a while and just haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. Now, after this video, I'm tempted to head over to miss Greta Beth's and get me a sample of that EBK Alexandrite N Patchouli. That sounds amazing!

OMG! Patchouli. When I was in my early 40s, I discovered my signature,‘s for life Patchouli! Then, it was discontinued. And that is patchouly pure from fresh. That fragrance garnered me the most compliments ever, anywhere I went I would always get asked what are you wearing? I savored every single drop of my last bottle. And I never found anything remotely close to that. By the way, I took your recommendation on Angel EDT, and you are so right it’s so pretty. My favorite patchouly perfume currently is Chanel Coco Noor, it suits me so well, it’s classy but not too classy/lol. Mature but not old, I love it. I will have to be a little bit more experimental with patchouly. Great video

Barénia from Hermès has an interesting herbal tartness to it, together with patchouli, they make a very special concoction. It's very specific, somewhat mature smelling. I would love for you to try it if you haven't yet.

I find the PMC extraits better than the EDP's. I love Patchouli Nosy Be extrait for layering. I really enjoyed the Horizon sample I had but found it leaning slightly masculine and knew I probably wouldn't wear it enough if I bought a full bottle. I believe I've already mentioned this perfume here before, but I think Click Song by Une Nuit Nomade is such a gorgeous rose and patchouli fragrance. it lasts forever on me and projects nicely. I feel powerful when I wear it. Black Jade by Lubin is also another gorgeous Patchouli forward scent. I discovered it based off you're recommendation actually. bye!

I have always thought I wasn't a fan of patchouli but it is in so many of my favorite fragrances. 😄 I just found out that Mona di Orio is no longer in business, and they made one of my all-time favorite patchouli fragrances called Cafe Simien. I'm so sad I can't buy a full bottle of that fragrance now. 😫 Another budget fave of mine is Patchouli Intense by Molinard...very chocolatey and smooth. Loved the video!

Among many beautiful mentioned Patchouli, have to add V Canto’s Mea Culpa. As also Straight to Heaven and Woman in Gold by Kilian, James Heeley’s Hippie Rose. Lord of Misrule is such a comfort in a bottle. Love Allure Sensuelle (edt more then edp), Moonlight Patchouli VC&A. More affordable and nice Patchouli is from Reminiscense. Agree with Suma Oriental, rarely see/hear someone speaking about this one, love it in colder weather. Need to try Tempo Diptyque. Patchouli Paris, honestly - nothing special, i was a bit disappointed because i know they can do it way much better. I miss Thierry Wasser.

And you are right, both are totally different, but has the same elegant, soul-warming feeling. I like Radiant Mirage as a bed scent in winter, could smell it 2-3 days…..wonderful!🤩

Hey Chris, what a great video! I looooove patchouli, but only the dark, mysterious, chocolate-y kind. I have put Horizon on my list and I think I will get Psychedelique. Some of the patchouli perfumes I have and adore: Vanilla Royale Sugared Pathouli, Vanilla 28, Indigo Tanzanite, Suma Oriental, Absolu Vanilla by Essnce. And I also have three from the Patchouli line by Reminiscence, which is the actual benchmark for patchouli fragrances. Sorry to disagree 😃. I urge you to try any one of them. For me the best was Eau de Patchouli, which has sadly been discontinued. But do try either Patchouli or Patchouli Elixer. Nightfall Patchouli sounds like a dream!

Yes!!! I had one of the Reminiscence Patchouli’s (my bottle was really old and went bad). But lol yes. If you talk to men (Sebastian Mr Oerfume Guy and a few others ) he says it’s the benchmark (Psychedelique). I’m with you…it’s not my benchmark 😂😁❤️. Almost all of the Reminiscence perfumes are impossible to find now. Sad.

I like the more chocolate patchouli, like Jovoy Psychedelique. I grew up in San Francisco and hippie patchouli oil was everywhere when I was a kid. I think that’s why I can only take patch in small doses. 😂

I love patchouli frags in cold weather and I've just taken out a relatively new buy, Vanille Patchouli by Molinard, a more affordable niche house. It reminds of Patchouli Paris by Guerlain, which I adore, but can't afford, sadly. I also like Suma Oriental, but I detect a smoky note there, which I'm not fond of. I don't know if it's the rum, cause I don't see anything smoky in the notes.

Coromandel is my FAVOURITE OF ALL TIME!!! Love all of its nuances, the medicinal, earthy and slightly funky tones. But you missed Click Song by Une Nuit Nomade! That's a SPECTACULAR patchouli frag. Jovoy Psychadelique is toooooo much patchouli!

All of my favorite perfumes have patchouli. I just don't like the one that comes in essential oil form, the dirty hippy type. I just purchased Tuxedo from YSL and I love it; I also love Coromandel and Gris Dior. Patchouli is one of the best notes ever 😅🤍
