I like the dialogue, it's very fitting to what they would actually say. There's a rom hack called Banjo Kazooie: The Jiggies of Time. It also has good dialogue that sounds like it came from the original writers.

A few other things: *There's no underwater version of the Witchyworld theme, even though it IS possible to swim underwater in the Dive of Death pool. *The submarine isn't allowed to warp to the Town Square in JRL (Jamjars: "Submarines don't work too well on land!") However, you CAN take the sub on land by going the long way. *There's completely unique dialogue if your very first Jinjo happens to be the white one. *In the XBLA version, Heggy hatches the yellow egg herself, as opposed to having Kazooie do it. This makes the split pads in her house completely useless.

For those unaware, the "Dud" on the bottle at *4:25* is a reference to Budweiser beer, aka Bud, which (especially before the 2000's) sports a red and white logo with a very similar font to the one shown in the Beta. While it's possible that the reason it was cut was due to not wanting to risk Budweiser litigiousness, I think the real reason it was changed was to remove such an obvious reference to beer, let alone a real world beer, for rating or even tone's sake. That level is just weird. Feels like a real Conker moment haha PS Loved the B&K takeover, they're welcome back any time as far as I'm concerned!

Being able to jump through the laser grid feels like a causality of the final Cauldron Keep being rushed to complete the game, as that element was part of the original Castle World concept, so I guess it got carried over without being fully tested. Or maybe they just didn't expect anyone to try jumping into the lasers.

Agreed. Most people would probably assume that a laser grid is just a visual stand-in for a solid, impassible wall, where even the gaps would block you. I laughed out loud when he showed off jumping through the square hoops like that. 🤣

I really liked this concept of having Banjo & Kazooie narrate the video themselves. You captured their personalities, particularly Kazooie's, quite well. Probably my only complaint is the nasty "wav sparks" at the end of Banjo's vocals. As for your next video for Banjo-Tooie, do you think you could cover the Jet Force Gemini posters in Bottles' kids' rooms? I seem to remember that the one for Vela in particular is different between the N64 and X-Box versions (her head is turned more naturally in the latter, with newer-looking artwork, iirc).

Good video! I had no idea Grunty actually referenced the eyeball flower in the first game! The secret room in Master Jiggywiggy's Temple was new to me as well! The fact that you can jump through the laser grid seems like huge oversight! It seems Grunty and her sisters skimped on security measures! 😅

I've got a small secret, too. In Jolly Roger's Lagoon you can decide to rent a room by paying for it, or just shoot the door with a grenade egg, to get the room for free.

The whole "Tootie" remark was always a sore spot for me when it came to the Banjo Kazooie series. It basically means the first game's adventure was completely pointless as the duo had no problem with Gruntilda beforehand.

Because the jiggy tips menu was added on Xbox they should have added a different rare reward from Madam Grunty instead of keeping the same code which no longer serves any use. Maybe the location of all jinjos would have been nice as a new reward

Really like the banjo and kazooie dialogues, and I like these referrences :D . The only thing that I pretty much knew was the Mayahem Temple door having the tiger golden titan head perfectly matched and the fact that we can simply jump in the lazer grid without deactivating it. I learn't the Get Jiggy cheat fact not long ago.

This video was fun - it had the same vibe and tone like when you watch the secret ending for BK with the Stop N Swop eggs, little gameplay snippets with narration from the duo. Even some of the gameplay having the slow walking and then zoom into first person is very similar to that style, not sure if that was what you were going for, but if so you nailed it!

Replaying on Switch, I noticed that Humba’s wigwam has 2 models with the entrance being smaller or larger depending on the model

This is due to Terrydactyland's wigwam, more than anything else. The tent needed a big door for a big dino, so they probably made a different model instead of just scaling the normal one up. And at that point, they have two models they can choose from, so why not use both?

Another one: There is an unlockable technique called the "Breegull Bash", which entails Banjo using Kazooie as a mace by slamming her into the ground. ...It turns out that she's actually a masochist and _likes_ that sort of thing, which actually goes a long way towards explaining both the series' tendency to abuse her and her abrasive personality!

Speaking of the boxes in Grunty Industries, some of them say “Twycross, England”, where Rare had a studio (this is pretty common knowledge and pretty easy to figure out, but it wasn’t mentioned in either video, so I thought I’d point it out). I didn’t know you could climb into the HAG1! I also didn’t know you could enter the safe with a Clockwork Kazooie egg! This list is great!

Clockwork Kazooie eggs are one of the game's main speedrun techs, thanks to all of the shenanigans they allow. Slipping into the safe is just the tip of the iceberg. xD

It's funny the first time I came across Madam Grunty's super secret cheat code it didn't take long to get. Neither did it take long to get on my second playthrough. But I remember a few years ago I did a playthrough where I tried to get it and I literally tried at it for 3 hours and gave up. I guess I just got lucky the first two times.
