Mexican cartel associates are necessary acquaintances, they aren't trying to take over US neighborhood turf. Sometimes they will have US affiliates smoke a rival cartel's US representative. The drug war fuels a lot of this BS. Making something that people want and are going to use/buy/sell anyways punishable by heavy sentences makes things accordingly serious. Some gangs in some places are arming themselves heavier to battle off central-american cartels trying to install themselves in their places but these central Americans have much heavier weapons due to their connections to Mexican cartels that have connections directly to manufactures in every place you can think of and they can get their stuff directly into whatever place. Why do you ask? Because these central Americans and even part of Mexican cartels have closer tier and more "trusty" than the people up north as they are different and the people further down have been into it for longer, speak the same language and have the same connections and are sometimes part of the same cartel, making logistics easier and cheaper so they can still charge the same prices thus make much more money than trying to seek local gangs to sold their foreign-made stuff. A lot of these biker gangs have ties to Chinese, Mexican, German, Balkan cartels. Hope you get it.
