Oh, my, I have different colors throughout my home and I love it! My father once said, open the door and look at all those colors God created and they all go together! But, really, my home is decorated msinly in shades of blues, greens, peach/apricots. My ceilings are more neutral but they are not white. And the ceiling in my maim bathroom is blue! I have noticed that the highend decorators and designers are definitely moving towards lots of color and some are using very saturated color in gloss finishes. So, have fun in your home. If you like neutral, do neutrals but if you enjoy color, go for it! 😊

Enjoy your videos but can't do it this time. Retired and live in 600 sf. Appliances have to go on counters. No space in small cabinets. Fridge holds my calendar. On top baskets hold paper towels and spices. No pantry so food goes where there is space. Pictures somewhat controlled but at 83 have a larger family! Do keep clothes hung up and shoes off floor. Throw pillows down to a minimum. Primary colors are creamy white with touches of dark blue and golden rod. My intentions are good but my space is not. Feel a bit crowded but refuse to stop living for "proper" decor.

The older I've gotten, I feel like I declutter more often because I have more things! They're all lovely, but finding storage space to switch things in and out isn't as much fun anymore. I like a more steam lined look, so it's best to take the time to pass things on to someone else. Great encouragement video!💞🙏

But honestly, I feel like a hypocrite because my closets are loaded with my seasonal decor and drawers are filled with decorative blankets of seasonal colors. It's nice to have many things that can go from room to room but storing so much is overwhelming!! Thanks for the suggestions and ideas!!

I agree with you 100% about the throw pillows! Thanks for all the tips ❤

Really enjoyed your video today. I too prefer a clean, cozy, organized and charming home. 😮 But....as an artist when I go into a painting mode my whole house seems to morph into my art studio ( which is the den) and that drives me insane. So it's all or nothing it seems and I just have to be kind to myself and let the house be when creating. It's been a process and finding ways to get rid of things that take up space is a lifesaver. Having baskets to help organize anything definitely cuts down on stress. Sometimes I think I'll give up painting and enjoy a perfect house (and i have before) but then .....the urge to get colorful and create and dance around sets in and I have to live that life or buy a bigger house. Ha ha. You have some really great ideas and I loved the tv cord strip to hide the cord. I liked the paint color you listed for your walls. That is very soothing along with a neutral pallete. Loved a prior video when you redid your kitchen and could build the type drawers that fit your appliances that's really the magic key. We all have things on our refrigerators but the times they are empty feels like a big breath of fresh air. Wisdom tells us to be kind and compassionate with ourselves, and live life with humor. You do that well. . Thank you Leslie.😊 Sending you a big hug & love. And sending prayers and love for Jason.. ❤❤

As always, some great tips. I am not a fan of clutter and since my husband is a Virgo, he isn't either so fortunately our house is pretty clutter free. Neither of us like to leave the dishes to dry so I wash and he dries. Having said that, we do have a daughter that is the opposite and for a long while I questioned whether they gave me the right baby at the hospital. Now she is married and has her own home so what she does there doesn't affect me except when I visit but I have learned to grin and bear it.

I know this is not one of your livi ng with dementia videos, but I've asked the alzheimer's society etc and they have not come across my situation. My husband was diagnosed with dementia and he complains of sharp pains in the frontal portion of his head, he states it feels numb afterwards and he is tired and needs to lie down. He had a brain injury as well 5 years ago and one before approximately 20 years ago. My question is, did Jason have similar complaints 🤔 I'm not sure how to help him and have done research and can not seem to find anything 😕 any help would be appreciated

Yeah, no. The toaster, coffee maker and Kitchen Aid have permanent residence on my counter. We use the toaster and coffee maker every day-not going to hall them out each time, and the Kitchen Aid is too heavy to lift. But I like the concept of less clutter. I work at that all the time! I really keep decorating to a minimum and my home feels more peaceful to me.
