True but ap can't do anything they can't tackle a running shoplifter all they can do is watch people and wait near the entrances to ask to look in the carts if they seen them shoplife once they run game over you try and stop them instant termination wm says it's to protect employees but I wasn't stupid it's to protect wm from being sued.

@@heroofmasks you can grab the cart of stolen merchandise though after checking for a receipt, so long as the products don't match or no receipt is produced. If you happen to hire security for the outer perimeter you can have them detain the suspect and call the police. Of course the best part is compiling plenty of evidence for court such as receipts from the electronic journal or recordings of the acts taking place.

I have to travel 1 town over to shop @ a Wal-Mart. A few times the cashier would scan something I wanted, and would not place the item aside not in my bag. Good news they don't do that anymore, no more cashiers at that particular Wal-Mart. It is all self check out...

Walmart often has expired bakery and produce left on the shelf. However, that happens everywhere. Their discount bakery items are marked down 50% off and placed on baker's rack.

Walmart does not price match in Canada anymore. They stopped this policy back in early 2021. I guess price matching is hurting their bottom line in light of the pandemic.

No it isn't they're just plain greedy. Our grocery store based in Texas are always giving away food and water etc in crisis plus they regularly give to the food banks. They also send products to other states in crisis. Also when we had the power go out last winter and their registers went down they allowed the customers to take their items absolutely free of charge wal-mart would have left them hanging.

This is not the case at this time. 29 years ago I worked overnight at Kmart and we were locked in when they closed until they opened. However, I work an extra job over nights at walmart now and we come and go as please. Its against fire code to lock the doors with people in therefore the only days they get fully locked is when we are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas

I don’t buy a lot of food at Walmart, a lot of there food is expired and, out of date, you have to be careful what frozen foods you buy and, check the dates. I have brought some frozen items and, they have tasted pretty funky. Also it can be the same way with there cheese. In the Delhi section the bread on those sandwiches, the bread tends to be old and, funky, as if it’s close to the molding stage. People may think that’s nothing but, yes it can be, mold is what they use to make penicillin and, there are a lot of us that allergic to it and, it makes us sicker than a dog, even if we taste thee slightest hint of mold. That also doesn’t make it a fresh sandwich neither which they sell these sandwiches for a ridiculous price. Almost $ 5 to $ 8 for a moldy sandwich, no thank you! I mostly go to my local Walmart to get my household necessities and to go to Smart Style for when, I need a haircut. I also tend to get some odds and ends there. I don’t buy too many clothes there anymore, and, if anyone has noticed this year in the clothes section, the stuff doesn’t even look like it’s worth the prices anymore. When, I can get to a Meijer Dept. Store, that’s where, I buy my clothes, not are they only more trendy and stylish but, there clothes are made with better quality and, most of the clothes, jewelry and purses you buy, has a certain percentage off on most of them. Then, if, I can’t get there or find something, I am in need of there’s always Amazon. Amazon is even much cheaper on a lot of there things, ( I am not saying every single thing) than Walmart. If you need decent ice packs don’t go through Walmart they are extremely expensive, they are much cheaper on Amazon, something, I recently discovered.

As a former employee..... sorry "associate", this company got me to leave because the pay was not competitive and up to date. Most companies are paying the State minimum wage but Walmart likes to play by their own rules. The Minimum has been the same since 12 years that I started. Another thing Walmart want no one to know is their raises keep getting lower every 5 years or so. I think the yearly raise as of now is 10 cents. Just think I make 13.10 then the next I get 13.20. You might as well dependcon the ecomomy to swoop in and give you a higher raise of $15.00 an hour. Walmart will never value their employees and you might as well wait out the next minimum wage increase for the best possible raise.

Walmart pays above industry averages and is a leader in industry pay also they increased their min wage to 14$ an hour in 2016 so no the pay hasn't been the same for years nor is it anywhere near as low as min wage

@@kennethcotton3871 Walmart minimum wage is 12 not 14 it's around 15 for certain parts like stockers,ap,deli,tle and bakery all other positions like the ones that mainly deal with customers stockmaen aka cartpushers cashiers and the other places get treated terribly I used to work at a Walmart and the past couple months were terrible they couldn't schedule the right amount of people and most of the time due to corporate forcing door people the stand for 8h a day straining there back ain't allowed to sit unless they get a doctor's note God most of the time they were forgotten about to the point they usually have to go to lunch late and sometimes don't get there breaks even worse when they force cart pushers to do the job because as I stated Wal-Mart is SHIT at scheduling or as one of the reasons I quit forcing cart pushers to do doors in a busy holiday season saying they don't have enough people just to see they made one of the door people put up returns instead of the job they paid for. I had a message from a old coworker who still works there yesterday they forced him and the other opening cart pusher on the door through there entire shift so no one's was there until the only scheduled closer got there at 2 both bays had 0 carts and the entire parking lot was just full of carts.

Well I don’t know where you live but I have been locked in the store I work at 3 times had to wait for management to come back and let the 3 of us out! We were running the end of day reports the customer service manager, the head of service desk and me who worked in receiving checking in the trucks had to wait almost 2 hours for the store manager to come and unlock the door. All of us refused to clock out until the door was unlocked. Police are called almost everyday at our store for shop lifters they even patrol our parking lot on a regular bases. We only have one security person at our store they use our local police officers as their security all the time.

@@bessfithian6336 That's on the fault of the management team. All you have to do is walk out an emergency exit. It's management's job to ensure the building is empty before locking up. If a shoplifter was inside, then all they would have to do is go to the emergency exit or dock door and open it.
