Jolt was out years before Josta and would be considered the first real energy drink. It’s slogan was ‘All the sugar, twice the caffeine’. It was marketed to younger people to combat fatigue. It’s also still around but hard to find.

Josta was my favorite soda. Them discontinuing it was one of the reasons I stopped drinking soda all together. The flavor was just so unique. I didn't even know it was an energy drink until after I couldn't buy it anymore.

I remember „Crystal Pepsi“. They sold it here in Germany around 1994. It was in a clear (plastic) can. The taste was ok but your eyes saw something clear (7Up) and your taste buds were telling you „Cola“…this was quite irritating…😅

Orange color = orange taste, yellow = citrus, white = pineapple, red = strawberry, green = apple. Afterwards they made a blind tasting (same people blindfolded). 80% of the participants were wrong in guessing what the taste was because they could not see the color of the bears…🤷🏻‍♂️

In Southern California it’s very common to find cactus 🌵 cooler. You can find it in almost every store, gas station, or supermarket. Never would have thought that it’s hard to find in other part of USA.

I actually like the 2020s version of Coca Cola "Black" I've found in Lucky Supermarkets, but later in life I rarely drink soda with too much sugar in it! They for a little while had a diet version but I haven't seen it lately! Ones I always enjoyed were Fanta Red Cream Soda and also Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash (which may still be around during the holidays, but again - sugar!)

So many good memories with all these different drinks. I miss Orbitz!! I remember Fruitopia in the soda machines in school. There was another drink at the time too that was in vending machines at school that was called like Tropical Gold or maybe it was Citrus Gold? It pretty much tasted like tangerine, orange and pineapple. I think it was meant to be a non-carbonated option instead of soda, about like a Sunny D but it was still sugary as all hell!!

Crystal Pepsi was awesome. If it was still around it would be the main soda I drink. Coca-Cola Black is one of the worst things I’ve ever tried. It tasted like a little bit of coke mixed with a lot of burnt coffee.

I love going down memory lane I remember almost all of these drinks and it's been incredible. The memories of that soft drink will never die. Every time it comes back in stores I literally buy a ton of bottles and when they had 12 pack cans for a limited time they sold out so fast and never saw it again. Bring it back again please.

2019 was the the end. Pepsi have stated it will not make a return in the future. The only reason it made the 2019 return was because of petitioning from a popular KZbin creator. They had 0 intentions of bringing it back and even with the limited time release it still fails to be as popular as other flavors and only has a small cult following in comparison basically.

My favorite soda I wish was back is Mountain Dew Pitch Black (original & II). There used to be a Safewau store brand Red Licorice soda I really liked a lot. I've seen Cactus Cooler on the shelves here in Ca.

@@mattmcsherry761 I have some Pitch Black II in 2-liter bottles in my garage. The last time I checked I could feel that the CO2 had leaked though the plastic. If they're still where I put them, I can use whatever is in the bottle as a syrup to be added to club soda. Its just too rare not to try and just throw them away.

I too enjoyed Crystal Pepsi. The only reason any cola is dark is because they add caramel color. Same with cream soda. I rather not drink the added color. Canada Dry makes their cream soda clear. It's my go to.

If you like full flavored clear sodas try White Birch Beer. It's a New England thing. For an extra kick make sure you throw in a slice of lemon. Once you get to New Jersey and Pennsylvania the Birch beer gets coloring.:)

Cactus Cooler came to my native Arizona in the mid 1960s and was quite popular for a number of years. The logo then was completely different. The crystal Pepsi gave me awful heartburn and thus I never had any more again after that first try.

Possibly the problem with Crystal Pepsi is that there were (as I understand it) two totally different drinks named Crystal Pepsi. What we thought we were getting was Pepsi without the coloring. What we go was something with a strange lemony flavor.

Pepsi Light the original not diet version. Pepsi Light was originally marketed as a lemon Pepsi mix with "LESS" sugar, and it was great. But they soon changed it to a completely sugar free drink that was awful.

Canadian here, let me tell you, you don't miss Fruitopia as much as you think, it's one of those things thats really only good when you're a kid, if you're looking for a similar experience i'd say go for any cheap juice blend from concentrate. I hate to burst bubbles but i thought this one wwas funny
