One thing to note regarding early bird passes: Even if you are one of the first in line, it won't guarantee that you will get a knife. Iv seen many times where dealers will go in 5 minutes before the doors open and stand at tables to get the FCFS knives. Not all makers allow lines to form before doors open, but some sell to dealers as the doors are opening to give the illusion that they brought fcfs.

Blade is much better about that. Exhibitor guest passes are allowed in at 10:15.

If you’re visiting from out of town a cool place to grab some food is the Marietta diner. Open 24/7. Huge menu!!! Awesome desserts. I’ve never been disappointed and I’ve been there a lot.

I’ve never had a problem with the atm machine not having any money. I’ve been going to blade show for a long time. Maybe you’re just picking the wrong one close to the expensive stuff. Lol. The ones on the outskirts just outside the showroom floor have never been an issue for me.

Thanks for the video, as this will be my first Blade Show. For the more established companies, i.e. Spyderco, Cold Steel, etc., do they accept credit cards? And how much is it for parking?

Yes…most all of them except credit/debit…even the smaller companies. That being said there are some show exclusives knives that are cash only. This isn’t that common. However if you plan to get a Microtech blade show knife, it’s always been cash only for as long as I can remember.

Thank you so much, my wife and I have been trying to make it to blade for a few years now and something always comes up and we are not able. Do you have any hotel advice? We will be driving from southern Kentucky and just planning for expenses has us a little concerned, we aren't rich, but we can afford a better place than one that charges by the hour lol, I'm guessing would it be better to stay across town and drive back and forth? Any advice on this would be great, would like to spend less than 200/night on hotel if possible. Thank you so much

I would look on a trip advisor or on Marriott's website. The hotel attached to the convention center is booked, but there are nearby hotels for under 200 a night.

Honestly? Only if you want a production knife. Most custom makers are all sold out after Saturday.

Thanks! I am a newbie mostly interested in production EDC knives, so I assume the displays will still be stocked? I have read they start to break down around noon, so we plan to get there right at opening.

They say not on the showroom floor but it happens a lot. If it’s kept discreet no one usually has a problem with it from what I’ve noticed. That being said…don’t be the guy going around advertising, like you’re walking around with a ton of knives to trade.

If you can, yes. Most booths are cash only.

That’s not true. Most all the booths accept credit/debit. Even the smaller booths. That being said, it happens. Sometimes show exclusives are cash only because they’re giving you the best absolute price. For example the Microtech show knife…cash only. But anything else you buy at the Microtech booth you can use card.
