The most important thing that should be on everyone's mind currently should be to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a good time to invest in various stocks, Gold, silver and digital currencies. I never imagined that a few thousand dollars per month would add up. However, it is. I've made around $870,000 since 2020.

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly.

Investors should exercise caution with their exposure and exercise caution when considering new investments, particularly during periods of inflation. It is advisable to seek guidance from a professional or trusted advisor in order to navigate this recession and achieve potential high yields.

If I was extremely wealthy I am not sure I'd change much to be honest. I enjoy being outdoors and walking places - it keeps me fit. I don't mind waiting in line and talking to people - it keeps me social and engaged with the world around me. I don't mind paying my bills - I like to be aware of what's happening with my resources. The only thing I can see myself doing is traveling more, and when I do, comfortably, in business or first class.

Years ago the employer changed to a cheaper health insurance like an HMO to save money (for everyone because they thought the type health insurance didn't matter). One of the partners (who is a household name at the time) went to the doctor and saw how they treat you. That afternoon he in anger called the other partners(I was told) and had them change the healthcare back (paying the penalty fees to avoid the 'horrible experience' of waiting).😆😆😆

I sell insurance for a living and can tell you the difference between HMOs, PPOs, EPOs and so on. HMOs are the most limiting plans- usually. Rarely out of network coverage unless in emergencies. Smaller network. And usually you'll need a referral to see anyone else outside of you PCP.

Rich people don't have to go to the bar to find a date. Nor do they have to tolerate partners with "common people " stuff like baby momma drama or druggies and so on. They can afford to have a professional match maker , have a list qualities they're looking for (young, skinny, petite, long blonde hair, Swedish,...) and so on. They can afford private investigators to do deep dives into their mates past vs meeting someone who seems nice and stable, but just got out of prison for manslaughter. Rich people don't deal with "shortages". Either they have a storage full of stuff or they can have it shipped express.

Can I offer a counter on the "waiting in line part"? Wealthy people do still have to wait in lines, some of the longest ones I might add. When you buy a multiple six-figure car brand new, you pre-order it, which means there is a lead time associated with it, anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. That's a long line.
@stevenporter863
@stevenporter863 Жыл бұрын
That isn't a physical line that takes up time in your schedule: more a waiting list like a reservation, but point taken. Think she means like waiting at the restaurant bar for a table instead of just walking in and getting VIP treatment. Even if they have their tickets, etc. they have to wait for other people just as privileged to have their ticket scanned or whatever by the event.

@epbrown01
@epbrown01 Жыл бұрын
$10M USD for certain (the minimum for the 1%), but you could do it for less. A lot of what they're talking about would be handled by the right credit card membership, where you get concierge service. Last I checked, the fee was $2500/year, but you call the concierge, tell them what you want to do, and they take care of everything. I didn't use it enough to keep paying for it, though. I did get sold out tickets to a show one hour before it started, impressing some out-of-town guests once. 🙂

If I was a billionaire I would want an accounting of all monthly bills just to make sure nobody's cheating me. This money it's important even if you're unbelievably wealthy. It's the point of it I don't want to go broke.What will beneath your means no matter what. I've known a lot of people that have lost their ass in art of know a lot of people that are bought watches of loss arrests and watches it's a losing proposition most of the time.

I must clearly and strongly disagree! The points listed certainly (may) apply to the “new money”, but "old money" behaves completely differently! They know exactly the price and value of everything that surrounds them. They are not above doing things themselves, especially if they are important or close to their hearts. They don't spend money unnecessarily but frugally and know where every cent is they have. They live by the rule: You don't talk about money, you have it - or you don't.

[design] Add to list: create premarital contracts and other legal contrivances, including trusts, before their weddings to anticipate possible marriage breakups. The very poor don't worry about such things because there is no money for an estranged spouse to seize. The very rich have surplus money and don't care, or they have well-paid advisors to make appropriate arrangements before a wedding. In between, people are squeezed.

The late President Bush The Elder was born into old money. During his presidency, he did a photo op about inflation where he "shopped for groceries" while bemoaning inflation. As the press followed him around, it became clear Bush had never been to a grocery store in his entire life. He'd lived pretty much like this video, with others taking care of his day-to-day.

He may have been born a spoiled rich kid and I don't agree with all his policies, but I have great respect for how he fought for this country in WW2. I think that kind of luxury he was born into easily is cancelled out by the horror he lived through
