In the WORLD! This one, it´s really a very good fact for the video!!! We have indeed the oldest bookshop still active, in the world. Opened its doors in 1732 and has been in business ever since. And the fact that we also call Lisa to Lisbon (at least in the área) what I think, as a feminine name, suits her very well because of her beauty.

Keeping on similar subject. Although not as old as the Bertrand Bookstore in Lisbon. One of the most beautiful and inspiring bookstores in the world, is in the city of Porto (North of Lisbon). Being the inspiration for the staircase in "Hogwarts" of Harry Potter! :-)

I went to Lisbon after visiting Hungary (Budapest and various cities). Italy (Rome, Florence, Pisa, Venice and Milan) and Spain (Barcelona, Madrid and Toledo) in 2002 from LA. I was very much interested in one particular place in Lisbon, the house where Wenceslau Jose de Sousa de Morais. I learned him when I was a middle school student in Japan. He came to Japan as a naval officer of Portugal and later he became a diplomat in early 20 century. He married to a Japanese woman, I found his home where he had been born on the top of a hill. I was very emotional. I went to Sintra a suburb of Lisbon by train.

Just got back. I think the most memorable thing outside everything that's been mentioned is the seafood. Check out Solera 31. They have tiger shrimp the size of your arm! My only regret is that we only went out for seafood for two nights. We should have gone out every night.
