You have quite a few of incorrect facts, main islands are Malta, Gozo and Comino only as Filfa is a piece of rock in the sea that was used for military training as a shooting target. The size of Valetta is not 0.8 square meters. The cross on the flag is the George Cross and not Maltese cross, the George cross was issued to the Maltese people for the courage showed during the war. The planning authority does not restrict the use of colours on our building and the front doors of the houses with bright colours are actually with the permit from the planning authority.....

I love Malta, I’m visiting at the moment. But clean? Compared to where? The place is full of rubbish, plastic, broken glass and other detritus can be found in the water easily (St Julian’s, Comino etc) and street corners have piles of cigarette butts and discarded food packaging. Central Valletta is kept beautifully clean (which is lovely) but the state of most of the rest of the islands are a tragedy. Ok, maybe not as bad as images I’ve seen of Iraq, Syria and other Middle Eastern countries but compared to the rest of Europe, Malta has a problem with filth.

The Maltese Cross you described is not on the Maltese flag, the Eight Pointed Cross is the cross of The Order of the Knights of St. John, known as the Knights of Malta and as you described. The George Cross on the flag was given to the Maltese by King George VI of The United Kingdom, for the bravery and heroism shown by the Maltese during WWII

The house prices are high, may seem cheap to a rich American! My mother was Maltese, but I was born 3 months before independence and was not eligible for a Maltese passport, so I would have to buy a house or an apartment for a certain amount (which was high at the time) because I was classed as a foreigner, as I lived in the UK. I know Malta better than my mother did. Couldn’t believe so many inaccuracies and miss pronunciations, so much so that I felt bad about them and I’m not a citizen!

Being completely Maltese and have lived I. Malta all my life, I have to agree with all facts besides that it's a tax heaven, it might be, but not for most Maltese. It's not the most beautiful but still is unique. One thing which is disappointing, the horrible pronunciation of the Maltese words use in this video, like for example, Filfla and Mdina. (This measurement is about 1/4 th the size of a smart car) the Maltese cross (8 pointed cross of the knights of St John) is not the cross displayed on the flag. santiago Ibarra There’s a lot of spanish,german,french and italian in Malta. I’m not maltese,but I’m living in Malta for quite a while. Malta has 2 languages,english and maltese,but they speak italian a LOT.Lots of people from other countries work here during summer,and it is pretty loaded.

From what I understand queen Elizabeth 2 spent three years in Malta for her honeymoon. Her husband was stationed there.

Hi, I enjoyed this video but must say you need to correct your comment on the Maltese Cross. The cross on the Maltese flag is not the Maltese cross of the knights of the order of St John. The Cross on the Maltese flag is the George Cross Presented to the Maltese people during WW2 by the then King of England King George.
