A few additional facts and corrections on Pierce. He was born on County Meath not Louth. They are neighboring counties in Ireland. Well educated and well spoken Irishmen (myself included) are sometime thought to be English. It is because we speak and pronounce English much better than the average Englishman. Curious I know, but six hundred years of having the English language imposed on the Irish people is responsible for that situation. Of course we never lost our own Gaelic tongue which is still spoken widely in a few areas of Ireland even today. 'Tir gan teanga tir gan anim" (Pronounce it as Teer gon tonga teer gon annim) which is Gaelic for: "a country without a language is a country with a soul). It is "half true" that the USA does not recognize dual nationality. Like Pierce, yours truly also has dual citizenship. Naturally my U.S. citizenship and passport are both "primus inter pares" - first among equals. Many fortunate Americans have both. Uncle Sam insists that you use your U.S. passport ALWAYS when you exit and re-enter the USA. This matter was decided by the U.S. Supreme Court in a citizenship case several years ago.You're welcome.

He's my all-time favourite James Bond portrayer since I was born at that time (1997) on his James Bond portraying era, greetings from Indonesia. He known for the Remington Steele (80's US TV series), Mamma Mia as Sam Carmichael and Mrs Doubtfire as Stu. His daughter Charlotte Brosnan also died in 2013 by the same causes of his first wife.

Mistakes : 1) He had received 4 cars. The Aston Martin which caught fire was given to him for Die Another Day. 2) The fire eating skill, he deployed them in a Muppets episode not in Remington Steele. 3) In 1987, when his wife was diagnosed with cancer, he was in India, not his wife, shooting for The Deceivers. 4) Remington Steele got cancelled in 1986 not 1987, but yes, rose to popularity in 1987 only.

This starred Willem Dafoe, Heidi Klum, Judi Dench, John Cleese, and obviously Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. This game got the full Bond treatment, and was a great way for Brosnan to depart from the role.

We all wish but it won’t happen as he was essentially fired by Eon Productions who produced James Bond films as he was interested in doing Casino Royale but the producers told him they wanted to reboot the series and hire a younger actor to play Bond. Brosnan was not happy and hasn’t worked with Eon Productions since he last played Bond in Die Another Day.
